- JJulian and Heather09/11/2025Fabulous Wedding VenueFabulous Wedding VenueWe hosted a wedding for 140 guests; using the main (former banking) hall and the upstairs bar and reception area. This allowed the wedding, the post wedding drinks reception, the dinner and subsequent dancing to be conducted under one roof (a boon in the late autumn). The quality of the food (canapes, ceviche bar and 3 course dinner) was excellent and the choices offered to build the menu more than adequate. Good choices too to decide the wines and cocktails. The service was efficient and very observant. All our guests were very complimentary about the food, the service and the venue. The sweeping stairs leading down to the main hall provided an excellent and imposing back-drop to formal photographs. The venue was also very accommodating in fitting in with our needs (e.g. for a stage) and supporting other professionals (florists, musicians) in creating a memorable event. This is not a cheap choice, but we found the value for money was excellent. The main hall has enormous ceilings and marble floors meaning it looks glamorous with little decorations. However, the stars of the show were the team who helped with all our questions (including some very late night, last minute ones). This was such a relief, especially during the stressful last few weeks of planning. From the beginning, the team was amazing! The fabulous Olivia helped us in the beginning- we went to see the venue multiple times which she was always happy to accommodate for us- even inviting us to events to help us picture the big day! Then, we started our planning with Faye (who sadly left the company) and we were handed over to Jess who was amazing from start to finish! Jess made sure our day was perfect and the whole team who were there on our wedding day were absolutely amazing! The food was incredible! We gave them a custom mood board of all our ideas for food and they really smashed the assignment! I would even go as far as saying that they were even better on the day than at our taster session and we couldn’t have asked for more! The most perfect day, with the most perfect team! Cannot thank you all enough! Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
I couldn't describe the best since we've hosted so many weddings and each and every couple is different and special! That being said, i'm partial to a disco ball so we hosted a very funky and sparkly wedding with over 30 disco balls!
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
If I had to give some top tips for when it comes to wedding planning, I’d probably start by saying don’t be afraid to ask questions. As a couple you are not expected to know all the answers and have all of the information. Let an event planner help and guide you along the way. Lean on us!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
I love creative seating plans that reflect the couples personality and more than not, their unique love to story!

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
We've had plenty of celebrity guests at Banking Hall through the years. Banking Hall has hosted plenty of A-list fashion shows with the likes of Alexa Cheung, Anna Wintour, and Louis Theroux. Skepta recently debuted his fashion line with us!
What’s your favourite canapé?
The kimchi vegetable gyoza is a major crowd-pleaser, as it's suitable for lots of different dietaries.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
We offer our 'late night snacks' menu for all those wanting to keep the party going a little longer. My favourite is the tandoori burger!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
The original lifts which have been spotted in many famous tv shows and films!
