The house is located in the famous historic village of Haworth, known all over the world as an area of outstanding beauty and home to the most romantic novelists of the 19th century, the Bronte sisters. With beautiful garden views, this unique house has its own folly for outdoor ceremonies and is the perfect setting for the most memorable day of your life. Perfect Wedding VenuePerfect Wedding Venue
I'm Haworth born & bred, Diane and I decided this would be an ideal wedding venue and began planning with the very capable & helpful Ashmount team headed up by Robyn. We arranged for sole use and could not fault anything between arrival and departure, nothing was too much trouble and attention to detail was amazing! The ceremony - performed in the garden folly - was perfect, followed by drinks and a superb meal. Perfect Wedding VenuePerfect Wedding Venue
Booked 6 months ahead for a small wedding for 20 people, formal dining on a non-exclusive basis. Staff are impeccably organised; no request was too much. The menu accommodated 1 vegetarian and 1 gluten intolerant meal (me, the bride). We had chosen the menu of beef or chicken based on our guest preference and everyone commented how tasty the food was, even the bread rolls were fresh with the rolls containing caramelised onion quite a hit. We had chosen to hold the ceremony in the morning room with everyone seated due to the high number of elderly guests. Staff worked tirelessly setting up for the wedding then removing the furniture to allow photographs as the weather was inclement. Rather than purchasing a drinks package other than the toast we allowed the guests to choose what and how many drinks they wanted throughout the event and were surprised how small the bill was. In addition to the wedding we booked the serenity spa for ourselves for the night and the secret garden room for my mother. The bedrooms were fantastic, well-appointed I just wished we could have stayed longer. The attention to everything was second to none I have an allergy to Lilies so when a flower arrangement arrived at the venue from a guest containing them it was immediately taken to a different area to remove them and store the remaining flowers in a cool place until my husband could assess if they were ok. If anyone is considering a small wedding I would urge them to give this venue serious consideration as your special day is as important to the staff who take great pride in their work. The setting was The Folly within the grounds, They welcomed all our guests, ensured there was seating for all around the folly, accessed via a red carpet. We gave them a list of music for before, during and after, and all was set up to perfection. Celebration drinks were provided, the norm as you would expect, but that extra touch was Orange Juice was supplied in posh glasses, not for minors, but because the bride and groom who were teetotal. They took it all into consideration. My wife was a guest the night before and in her words "was treated like royalty", where all effort was made to put her at ease, Hot tub, early breakfast, transferring baggage to post wedding room, welcoming and ensuring the Registrar, and the musician, had all they needed. Having found the place almost by accident (Groupon coupon for afternoon tea!) and considering I'm Haworth born & bred, Diane and I decided this would be an ideal wedding venue and began planning with the very capable & helpful Ashmount team headed up by Ebony. Perfect setting for small weddingPerfect setting for small wedding
I've just returned from my daughters wedding at Ashmount and am full of praise for the staff and venue. It was a perfect setting for the 25 guests, we all stayed in the house and associated cottages, and the wedding was outside in the garden. The lawn and the secret garden were perfect for celebratory drinks and canapés and for children playing after the ceremony. We had dinner indoors at 4pm, cake at 7.30pm and supper at 9.30pm, the small children were bed by 7pm and the grown ups enjoyed karaoke until midnight. The staff were wonderful throughout and so efficient in making and serving the wonderful food, and so understanding of the needs of the young children.
