With fabulous views of Portsmouth harbour and a fantastic view of the Spinnaker tower, Arty’s at Clarence Marina is not your average wedding venue.
The function room can hold an intimate wedding of up to 50 seated and 80 standing/partying. In the summer months Arty’s boasts a huge outside space with stunning views of the aircraft carriers in dock and the historic dockyard. If your wedding party exceeds those numbers there is the potential to book the whole venue where we can accommodate up to 80 seated and 150 partying.
The quirky decor at Arty’s really sets us apart from the traditional venue and we pride ourselves on being fully flexible for your big day.
We have a whole host of wedding decorations and can custom create your theme in house, we love a challenge!
We can also help you organise the wedding favours.
Our fully stocked in house bar offers a comprehensive wine list, a great cocktail list, draught lagers and ciders and if Aunty Mavis only drinks Babycham, don’t worry we will do our best to make her day!
When it comes to the food side of your big day we can cater to all your needs be it, 3 course wedding breakfast, buffets, hotdogs and chips or however you want to feed your guests, we can help and guide you through. We can even provide an alternative wedding cake made of cheese and decorated to your style.
We have a fabulous sound system and your DJ can just turn up and plug into our system or you can simply email us a Spotify playlist.
We are an unusual venue, ideal for a laid back and modern approach to tying the knot, with a personable and friendly team of helpers to make your perfect day happen.

After being engaged for 5 years we had looked around at numerous venues and never found the right one, that was, until our meeting with Julie and Amy! From the very first conversation we knew Arty’s had everything that we were looking for. Julie & Amy do everything in house, from the decorations to the food and the best part was they took all the stress out of the planning! We were able to leave everything in their very capable hands and just enjoy our day (and the run up to it). There were so many beautiful decorations to choose from and we were so pleased with our choices and how amazing the venue looked on the day! The food was tailored to all the things we enjoyed and every dish was as delicious as the next. The communication was excellent throughout and there wasn’t a single thing we would have changed. All our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how amazing the food tasted, even now our family are still taking about our wedding day. Julie and Amy made everything easy in the lead up to the day and everything was perfect. The food came out bang on time and everybody loved it. They allowed us to use their function for a couple of hours which worked really well with the private bar. Excellent service:) I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Arty's for an event. The event was really well organised and nothing was too much for the very attentive staff, who all went out of their way to make us feel very welcome. The room was decorated beautifully, including an eye-catching balloon hoop created in the wedding colours by the venue owners. The food was a feast for both the eyes and the belly and there was a well-stocked bar selling at reasonable prices. All in all, very professional and impressive. We will be returning here for a meal in their restaurant in the very near future. Having eaten at Artys before, from taking all my family and friends here for several dinners, I already knew the food was going to amazing, and it was. The whole reception was lovely thanks to Julie, Jake and the rest of the team for their great service, they are all amazing and lovely. From the little touches they did on the tables to the wedding gin cocktail they created for the day, it was excellent. If you haven't been to Artys yet then get yourself down there. I would recommend it all food wise, but the lovers tiff and them pizzas you do are food heaven. Had the great pleasure of attending a wedding reception here this week and what an amazing day it was. Portions were very generous and tasted wonderful. The only negative thing was trying to choose from such a comprehensive menu. Fabulous choices and there additional Christmas menu only added to my indecision issues. We will definitely be back as regulars, now that we know where you are. From day one Amy couldn’t have been more helpful, she really did make the process as easy as she could and was really informative and kept in touch with every step. Planning any type of wedding is stressful and with Amy and Arty’s it really did take a lot of that stress off. We also decided to let them decorate for us as well so I didn’t even have to worry about that. Also loved the fact that as we didn ‘t want a DJ that we used our own playlist from spotify and Arty’s used that so it made it very personal to us. On the day it really couldn’t have gone any better, as soon as we arrived there the venue was lovely and decorated beautifully. We had decided to do a free bar and they even put a little chalk board up of what our guest could have on the bar tab and put my fave cocktail on there as well which was a lovely touch. Amy and Julie ran the bar for us that day and they were the best and very good with all our guests, even if a few had a few too many drinks. The food is still talked about now and everyone has told me how good the food was and best of all for us it didn’t cost the earth and also Arty’s were really good at accommodating any changes we wanted to the menu and for a few guests with food allergies. Overall I can’t recommend it enough that you NEED to have your wedding here as these guys are hard working and make the day much smoother and easier for you. I was so so happy with the whole booking from start to finish and I can’t thank Arty’s enough for all they did for us.
