Description
There is no venue in the Midlands quite like The Ballroom at Amalfi White, this is why we won the prestigious award of "Most Elegant Wedding Venue in Derbyshire 2018 and 2019”.
A restored Victorian building in the stunning Market Town of Melbourne. Ceremonies and receptions are held in the elegant ballroom with eight huge, silver and crystal chandeliers hanging from an 1890s barrel vaulted white ceiling with ornate cornicing, big, beautiful windows framed with billowy curtains. A smart private bar is directly off the room with upholstered soft seating and fireplace.
The Ballroom is completely self- contained, wheelchair accessible and air conditioned, essential for summer months, with lots of space for a dance floor.
The White bar with its panelled, pewter top makes a magnificent impact in this room. The softly furnished, antique sofas and wing back chairs create a refined nod to the glamour of the past and the magnificent windows create an ethereal light – wonderful for photographs.
Draw the curtains and the room is classically intimate and relaxing. Available for smaller civil ceremonies of up to 25, or seated dining for 16 guests, our most intimate private room is beautiful.
In the summer months our garden can be used to complement your reception. Rattan sofas, dining tables with umbrellas, pétanque for the guests. Make the most of a glorious day amongst our white roses with an outdoor bar and our attentive staff.

I can honestly say from start to finish, our wedding coordinators and the management at Amalfi could not do enough to ensure we had the perfect wedding day...nothing was too much trouble. They were enthusiastic about our wedding, professional and everyone who attended our wedding complimented our day and the Amalfi Teams hard work. They ensured that everything ran smooth without hitch. All staff were friendly, smiled and smart. From the bottom of mine and Vincenzo's hearts, I want to thank you all for your hard work and dedication to making our day so beautiful and perfect. One of the key points that sticks in my mind was a very thoughtful and personal touch that I had not asked for but that meant so much to me. I have lost my dad and we had a chair reserved with his photo on, the Amalfi team moved this so that his picture was with me at my top table, by me throughout my wedding breakfast. I had not thought to ask for this, this was their thoughtful touch and it honestly mean so much to me. The wedding coordinators, Alex and Corri were lovely to work with, responsive and helpful. Also, I want to say a special thank you to Sian, the manager who is an absolute credit to Amalfi White, it is clear that she loves her role and helped give the most beautiful day of our lives. She was there handing me a drink to help calm my nerves before the ceremony and I am so grateful for that, she is intuitive and is brilliant at what she does. Thank you so much, Sian. All I can say is that we picked the perfect venue for our wedding and the perfect people to help organise our day. I promise you, if you chose Amalfi as your venue you will not be disappointed. From the beautiful interior to the food, it was top class. We had people with autism at our wedding with special dietary requirements, those who required special menu's due to religious preference and vegan's and they accommodated these without issue and we had feedback from our vegan guest that it was the best vegan food he had ever eaten. Everyone complemented the food and the portions were great. We have received feedback from our guests that our wedding was one of the best they have been to thanks to the Amalfi Teams hard work. So thank you again to everyone at Amalfi White, what you achieved has not gone unnoticed or appreciated. Thank you for giving us the best day and memories of our lives! The staff all looked after us really well and catered for all of our needs. We had a lot of different food requirements and they staff did everything to accommodate. The venue is fantastic - stunning, impressive, welcoming. The events team before and during the evening were extremely well organised, really helpful and I felt we were in very good hands from start to finish. We have had so many positive comments about the venue from our guests. The separate bar area is wonderful. The food was fabulous. In addition to the venue itself the village of Melbourne makes such a great location. There are plenty of gorgeous places for guests to stay within walking distance of Amalfi White. I want to do it all again! We had the most perfect 'Happily Ever After' party at Amalfi White. The venue is fantastic - stunning, impressive, welcoming. The events team before and during the evening were extremely well organised, really helpful and I felt we were in very good hands from start to finish. We have had so many positive comments about the venue from our guests. The separate bar area is wonderful. The food was fabulous.
