Tyax Lodge

Gorgeous location on a lovely lake with snow capped peaks nearby. We visited in July for a wedding. Canoeing on the lake was a highlight and some loons and their young put on a show. Comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff. The drive here from Lilloet is stunning but challenging over a twisting bumpy road.

We had our June 2024 wedding at Tyax and couldn't be happier with the process. We did a report buy-out and had support from the Team throughout. When issues came up with the seating, they provided a solution. They were open to us moving our ceremony location and accommodating the dietary restrictions of our guests. The food was delicious and the setting is stunning. I recommend asking about drink ticket prices ahead of the event, though.

My fiancé and I stayed at Tyax with several friends during our engagement weekend over the Canada Day long weekend. Staff (especially Bayley) were wonderful and took great care of us. Our group had a beautiful dinner all together which went smoothly and tasted great! (Though we would love to see the famous crispy chicken sandwich back on the menu). The property is stunning and they offer free kayak, canoe and paddle board rentals to see the lake and there are lots of trails nearby to explore.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Tyax Lodge for a wedding I was photographing, and it was an absolutely stunning experience. The lodge offers breathtaking lake views that provided the perfect backdrop for wedding photos. The natural beauty of the location is unparalleled, making it a dream setting for any photographer. The accommodations were comfortable and well-appointed, adding to the overall relaxing atmosphere of the stay.

We just had our wedding at Tyax about a month ago and I am still buzzing from the amazing experience my wife and I had at one of the most beautiful resorts in BC. Grace and her team absolutely knocked the ball out of the park, going above and beyond with making our day as special as it could be. They are so personable and make having a wedding easy. Chef Tyson cooks the most delicious fried chicken I have ever tasted.
