Tunnel Mountain Reservoir is set on the lower slopes of the mountain, overlooking the town of Banff. It is located within Banff National Park. Therefore, certain rules and restrictions may apply to preserve nature and the water quality nearby. Food and drinks aren't allowed because of the strict regulations in the national park.
Ceremony Options at Tunnel Mountain Reservoir
At Tunnel Mountain Reservoir, you can host a ceremony individually or hire local wedding-organizing companies to arrange everything for you. You have two options:
- Standing ceremony
- Seated ceremony
If you choose a standing ceremony, the cost is minimal and depends on your chosen decoration – arch and additional items. For a seated ceremony, you'll have to rent chairs and tables.
To host a wedding ceremony at Tunnel Mountain Reservoir, you'll likely need to obtain Commercial General Liability insurance that meets Parks Canada's specific requirements.
Conveniently, plenty of street parking is available across the street. Accommodation is also available nearby. Whether you want to host a reception nearby, Banff town offers plenty of excellent reception venues accommodating your number of guests.
Wedding ceremonies at Tunnel Mountain Reservoir are hosted year-round. Saturdays from June to October are the most popular. Winter weddings are charming, particularly for the elopements.
