The White Poplar is a romantic outdoor venue in Manitoba, providing escape from the busy city but with convenient access from Selkirk and Winnipeg. You'll find it north of Winnipeg at the corner of Highway 59 and Road 81 N.
The capacity is 200 guests, and facilities include both outdoor and covered ceremony options, a covered reception area, climate controlled restrooms & two bridal prep rooms as well as a catering prep area.
This venue features great views of Manitoba landscapes and has an open vendor policy.
Alcohol service: this venue requires you to obtain a social occasion permit through the LGCA. The venue charges a corkage fee for events serving alcohol.
Option to add on: early access to the venue, décor cleaning and storage services, and soft ice cream.

Yes, you actually have to. You apply for a social occasion permit through the LGCA, and supply us with all the receipts for your alcohol. We provide the bartenders.
You CANNOT bring home made wine.
We suggest supporting local, and buying your alcohol from Lockport Grocery or another community liquor store. We also suggest that you pick up your canned beer from a vendor (as it will come cold).
You get access at 10 AM on the day of your rental, until 1 AM (or 12 AM Sunday - Thursday). All guests and vendors must exit the property by 1 AM.
Early venue access can be provided in addition to your rental (to a max of 2 hours).
Yes, your pets are welcome! We love your pets and invite them to hang out with you all day :)

We have you covered! Rain ceremonies will take place in our greenhouse. Rain calls must be made at least one hour prior to the ceremony time so we have time to set up chairs.
There is no additional charge to use the greenhouse.
We do! We include all tables & chairs with your rental. We will have the tables set up for 10 AM, and will add the chairs later in the day (in case you want to move your tables around). Everything that goes on your tables is your responsibility (water & wine glasses, plates, cutlery, water pitchers, napkins, linens, special decorating). You do not need to put table cloths on our harvest tables.
We also set up and take down the ceremony chairs.

Yes, but all candle flames must be covered by 1” of glass.
Fireworks must be set off by a professional pyrotechnic company. A cleanup fee may be charged if they do not clean up properly. Please note if there is a municipal burn ban, fireworks will not be permitted.
Sparklers are always allowed. Please let us know if you will be using sparklers, and we will provide you with a sand bucket for sparklers to be discarded into.
Real flower petals are permitted, however an effort must be made to retrieve them up after use. Fake flower petals are NOT permitted.
Confetti/confetti like substances are NOT permitted under any circumstances.
