The Norland Historic Estate is a unique Alberta landmark, set on 2,000 acres of prairie landscape in Lethbridge. During summer months, wedding ceremonies are hosted outdoors, in the lovely gazebo in the garden. Wedding receptions are organized in the indoor ballroom with 300 guests capacity.
The Norland is a mansion-style venue with a romantic indoor space for winter ceremonies: The Drawing Room.

The venue rental fee covers all tables, chairs, reception essentials and linens. Moreover, Norland Estate has an exclusive décor partner, which offers specialty chairs, centrepieces and an array of decorations for the ceremony and receptions.
Wedding Packages at The Norland
The Norland's team prepared wedding packages:
- Weekend wedding package: Access to the Estate and all facilities from Friday to Sunday
- One-day access to the venue and guest rooms for accommodation: Access time 8 am to 1 am
Pricing depends on the season, with the highest prices during the high season, from July 1st to September 30th.
Wedding Catering
Norland's catering partner offers various options for wedding menus for seated and cocktail receptions.
For example, cocktail receptions at The Norland are available as daytime and nighttime celebrations. The daytime celebration lasts between 1 and 2 hours and includes 5-7 canapé items per person. Choose between signature, premium and exclusive item combinations.
Nighttime cocktail receptions last up to four hours and include 8 to 11 pieces per person, a combination of signature, premium and exclusive items.
For both, you can choose between stationary and passed formats. The venue's food and drink coordinator will help select the best options based on your preferences and guest numbers.
Cocktail and buffet receptions can be enhanced with action food stations, which include mashed potato, carved beef, street-style sliders and Asian noodles.
Norland's buffet contains a standard food selection and elevated items.
Plated dinner options at Norland are diverse:
- Signature soup and salad
- Beef/chicken/seafood mains
- Special diet menu swaps
- Exclusive plated appetizers
- Plated dessert
- Palate cleansers
All plated combinations include assorted artisan rolls with whipped butter, hot seasonal vegetables and coffee and tea service.
Bar options at the Norland Historic Estate are:
- Full-bar service: domestic and imported beer, wine, cocktails and soft drinks
- Partial bar service with corkage: Venue provides wine and beer and coolers
- BYO alcohol with a corkage fee
You can elevate your party with a margarita and mimosa bar, hot drink station, welcome drink package and similar service.

We stayed for the entire weekend, and it was reasonably priced for 3 days. We had the wedding outside in the gazebo and it was a picture perfect day. We had the reception in the main ballroom (see pictures attached) and you really don't need to add a lot of decorations as the room itself is stunning. We recently had our wedding at the Norland and oh man- what a beautiful venue! We stayed for the entire weekend, and it was reasonably priced for 3 days. We had the wedding outside in the gazebo and it was a picture perfect day.
