Celebrate in the heart of downtown Toronto at the historic John Street Roundhouse. Pilsner Hall is a loft-like 4,000 sq ft space with exposed brick, original beams and soaring multi-pane windows that create a modern, industrial-chic backdrop for city weddings.
Couples can keep the entire day in one place: a romantic ceremony on the 1,500 sq ft open-air patio (May–October) with iconic skyline views, then move guests seamlessly inside for cocktails, a plated dinner and dancing—up to 180 seated or 350 cocktail style.
There’s a complimentary second-floor wedding suite, plus endless photo moments among cobblestone patios, historic train tracks and heritage architecture. Across from the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and only a 2-minute walk from Union Station, the location is effortless for guests arriving by transit, hotel shuttle or rideshare.
Your event will be supported by Steam Whistle’s trusted network of preferred vendors for catering, bar service and AV, with an on-site events team coordinating floorplans, rentals, timelines and vendor access so the celebration runs smoothly from first look to last dance.

What is the capacity of the Pilsner Hall?
Pilsner Hall is a 4,000 sq ft venue that comfortably hosts up to 180 guests for a plated dinner (with ceremony + reception) or up to 350 for a cocktail-style celebration. The room can be configured for ceremony, reception, dinner and dancing in one location.
Can we host our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all within your venue?
Yes! Our spaces are designed to allow for a seamless flow of your entire wedding day in one location.
Do you have preferred or in-house catering?
We work with a curated list of fantastic preferred caterers - you’re also welcome to explore external caterers subject to approval by the venue.
Do you provide AV services?
All audio-visual services are handled by our exclusive partner, Quest AV, who will help bring your vision to life.
Do you provide tables and chairs?
Yes! Our in-house harvest tables and chairs will be available to rent for your wedding day. Additional rentals or upgrades can be arranged through our partners.
Is there a wedding suite available?
Yes - our Pilsner Wedding Suite is located on the second floor and is complimentary with your booking.
Do you have an outdoor space?
Yes! Our 1,500 sq. ft. patio offers stunning skyline views and is available from May through October.
Is parking available?
There are several paid parking lots nearby, and we are also conveniently located just steps from Union Station for easy transit access.
Are pets allowed at the venue?
Yes, Steam Whistle is pet-friendly. We do recommend assigning a handler for the day and keeping pets on a leash (subject to venue policies).
Can we legally hold our ceremony on site?
Yes—Pilsner Hall has a wedding licence, so you can host your ceremony on site. You’ll still need to arrange an officiant and ensure all legal paperwork is complete.
