Set on the shore of Lake Ontario in Spencer Smith Park, Spencer's at the Waterfront is a modern, glass-walled wedding venue in the heart of downtown Burlington. The main wedding space, The Observatory, features 30-foot floor-to-ceiling glass walls that frame uninterrupted views of Burlington Bay from sunrise through sunset — used as a single, light-filled room for both ceremony and reception.
Weddings here are built around a chef-led, ingredient-driven kitchen known for premium craft cuts, fresh seafood, seasonal menus and hand-crafted cocktails. Couples work with a dedicated event team that tailors packages to the celebration — from intimate dinners through to cocktail-style receptions for up to 135 guests (120 seated). Photo opportunities run from the lakefront and park to the building's contemporary architecture, with sunset shots over the water a couple favourite.
Part of the Pearle Hospitality group, Spencer's brings restaurant-grade service, a single nautical-modern setting, and full event coordination together in one waterfront address.

Spencer’s does not provide an outdoor wedding venue. However, guests are invited to The Observatory for both the ceremony and reception. The Observatory features striking 30-foot glass walls that provide sweeping panoramas of the lake and sky, creating a stunning backdrop for a memorable dinner and dance celebration.
Where can I take pictures on my wedding day?
The venue offers numerous opportunities for stunning wedding photos. Couples can take advantage of the beautiful waterfront, the scenic park, and the modern architectural elements of the building. Sunset shots by the lake are particularly popular, capturing the romantic essence of the day.
How far is Spencer's from overnight accommodations?
While the venue itself does not offer accommodations, there are several nearby hotels and inns where guests can stay, including our sister property, The Pearle Hotel within walking distance, making it convenient for those traveling from out of town.

Spencer’s at the Waterfront has a maximum capacity of 120 people for a dinner wedding and a maximum capacity of 135 people for a cocktail wedding.
Do you offer in-house catering?
Yes — all weddings are catered by our in-house kitchen. Our menus feature premium craft cuts, fresh seafood and seasonal dishes, paired with hand-crafted cocktails and a curated wine list. Menus are tailored with our chef during planning.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes. The Observatory and main floor areas are accessible for guests with mobility needs, and our team is happy to walk through any specific requirements ahead of the day.

Yes — on-site and adjacent parking is available at Spencer Smith Park for you and your guests.
