Prairie Homestead in Southern Manitoba lies only ten minutes from Altona and spreads over 10 acres. The venue is surrounded by the most beautiful prairie landscapes and includes stylish facilities for your wedding day:

• Ceremony building: Rustic palace with bench seating for 200 guests, features air-circulation system insulation, large barn doors and shutter windows
• Reception space: Unique space with curved metal Quonset, concrete floor and large wooden doors; includes sound system, project and dance floor lights, support multiple floor layouts with 10ft long wooden tables and white folding chairs, the space features climate control system and capacity of 200 guests
• Full-service washrooms: Wheelchair and family accessible
• Grain Bin Bar: Vintage-style outdoor bar with commercial cooler, beer fridge and freezer
• Brides Cabin: Stylish preparation suite with full mirrors, outlets, Air-conditioning and seating area
• Outdoor seating areas: Multiple outdoor function rooms for relaxation, guests mingling, games and fire pits

Wedding Inclusions at Prairie Homestead

This venue with lovely grounds is available from June to September. Pricing depends on the day of the week, and each venue rental comes with the following inclusions:

• 6-hour bump in time the day before the wedding for set-up and rehearsal
• 13-hour venue use on the wedding day
• 2-hour bump in time the day after the wedding for clean-up
• Basic sound system with microphone, dance floor with lights and projector
• Table and chairs for 200 guests
• Cater prep shed (cooler, freezer, sink)
• Bar use with one certified bartender (additional bartender is available for a fee)
• Use of all faculties – bridal suite, outdoor areas
• Outdoor sectional and bar tables 
• Décor and centerpieces
• Site manager to coordinate your vendors and oversee the organization

Prairie Homestead works with Crystal Sound, offering his DJ services for 7 hours for your ceremony and reception and to maintain the highest sound quality during the day. 

The DJ accommodates your musical preferences, and the services aren’t included with the venue rental.

To make your special day more romantic and add a personal touch, you can choose the décor combination provided by the venue. Choose between white lanterns, greenery strands, wooden boxes, lace table runners, chalkboards and table number options. 

The venue offers its hexagonal ceremony arch.

Catering

Prairie Homestead nurtures an open-vendor policy, and you are free to choose the catering company that suits your budget and preferences. The venue doesn’t have dinnerware, so your caterer needs to provide it.
