Opened in 2020, Minami has been a standout for romantic dates, engagements and proposals. In 2021, we hosted our first wedding, and with the help of an incredible team, the executive pastry chef Aiko Uchigoshi from the Michelin Star Aburi Hana, and our General Manager Nicholas Teehan, our portfolio of successful weddings up to and including full ceremony and reception into late-night has been a runaway success. Minami is restaurant that focuses on the warm foundations of Japanese hospitality with the flair and accessibility of a top flight Toronto venue. Our focus is on creating truly unique experiences centered on the bride and groom and their people. It's our greatest pleasure to host these events.

Incredible Wedding Venue: Minami Shines Bright!

I attended a wedding reception here. Everything from the food, service, ambience was amazing. The food alone is probably the best I've had in Toronto. The servers were so kind and attentive as well. They really made the experience memorable. I wish I could give 10 stars. Run, don't walk, to Minami.

Perfect Wedding Reception at Minami

After dined at Minami dozens of times, we decided to host our wedding reception there. It was an absolute blast to have a 20+ Japanese course meal for our 115 guests. For any brides wondering, you only need a few floral arrangements for decor. Thank you to the entire team for making our wedding day, perfect! 😍

Perfect Wedding Dinner at Minami!

We had dinner at Minami on the day we got married, and we had an absolutely fabulous experience! Our servers, Shintaro and Jennifer, were attentive, prompt, and pleasant, and the entire Minami staff really went out of their way to make our wedding day extra special. Of course, the food was also delicious, which made the evening perfect. Thank you, Minami team — we’ll be back again soon!

Perfect Wedding Dining Experience at Minami

Had a private dining experience at Minami to celebrate my wedding and am SO happy with how everything went! The food and drinks were phenomenal (all of my guests were extremely impressed) and the service and all the staff were wonderful... Li-Chen was also so helpful and accommodating and really showed us that the restaurant appreciated our business. The interior of the restaurant is so beautiful and elegant, as well.
