Hart House Restaurant is a gorgeous Tudor-style mansion and a romantic wedding venue in Burnaby. The venue offers delightful spaces, mouthwatering wedding menus and an outstanding location with great views of Deer Lake, contributing to the rustic atmosphere.

Ceremony-Only Package at Hart House Restaurant

The restaurant provides an option to get married on the grounds, without food and beverage service for up to 200 guests. The inclusions in the ceremony-only package are:

• White chairs, signing table with linen
• Guest table
• Bridal suite for two and a half hour
• Water station for the guests

The package is available from May to late September.

Hart House Restaurant Reception Spaces

This rustic wedding venue has several dedicated reception spaces for intimate and mid-size weddings:

• The Restaurant: Outstanding space with four fireplaces, a private bar, a sound system and access to a gorgeous patio; capacity: 80 seated guests, 100 people cocktail-style
• Fireside Room: Private dining room in the restaurant, available for private hiring or with the restaurant; capacity: 18 guests
• Lakeside Cottage: Located close to the main restaurant, offers a private and beautiful setting with lake views, includes a gas fireplace, private washrooms and Wi-Fi; capacity: 32 guests, venue hire gives you access to the lawn for a cocktail reception and lawn games
• Rosedale Room: Modern rooms with in-house sound system, microphone and lake views; capacity: 60 guests
• Avalon Room: Ideal for rustic private dining between 8 and 16 guests; can be booked with Rosedale Room and serve as a breakout space
• The Tent: Available from May to October for large-scale celebrations with up to 200 guests; the tent rental includes the lawn for cocktail receptions and lawn games

Food and Beverage at Hart House Restaurant

Hart House Restaurant presents a comprehensive list of options for your wedding meal. The venue is an exclusive caterer for all food and beverage, except for the wedding cake. 

Available food options are:

• Canapés and food stations
• Plated menu: Three and four-course meal
• Buffet
• Family style menu

The beverage selection includes premium wines, subject to seasonal changes and menu selections, craft beers, ciders, non-alcoholic and soft drinks, juices and mocktails. You can request an additional bar setup to accommodate all your guests for a large-scale tent reception

Bar service is charged per drink, and it has a minimum spend requirement if you opt for a cash bar alongside a set bartender fee. If you choose a host bar and pay for all drinks, the bartender fee doesn’t apply.
