I am honestly so grateful that everyone working our wedding was so nice and seemed to not be stressed out working around the Covid guidelines, I can not say enough good things! Also the food, wow. We had some great help in setting up everything for the day and someone was always able to answer our questions. The food was great, everyone raved about it at the wedding and after, said it was the best wedding food they had all year so far! Service was also good; everything was on time and when we required additional help and services, the supervisor on duty was able to do so with ease. Maisie the catering manager was excellent and very accommodating of our requests throughout the planning process! We would highly recommend any friends and family from Calgary Everything went well with us hiring LAchefs. The food was great, everyone raved about it at the wedding and after, said it was the best wedding food they had all year so far! Service was also good; everything was on time and when we required additional help and services, the supervisor on duty was able to do so with ease. We held our small wedding reception in the southern room, and everything went smoothly. I never saw the caterers much, but they made sure tables were clean, drinks stocked, and food filled. They were diligent, polite, and efficient. The planning process went smoothly, and Maise helped make suggestions to stay in our budget and set up our layout. The food and drinks were wonderful. Is catering included, or can we bring in our own?
All catering is provided in-house by LA Chefs, our exclusive culinary partner. The team is phenomenal; they’ll help you design a menu that fits your style, from elegant plated dinners to relaxed buffets. Trust me, your guests will talk about the food for weeks!
What’s your favourite part of a wedding day?
The moment right before the couple enters the ballroom for the first time. There’s always this electric mix of excitement, nerves, and pure joy, and then that first look around the room when they see everything come together… it gets me every time.
What’s your planning style like?
I’m detail-oriented but easy to talk to. I love when couples share their ideas (and Pinterest boards!) so we can bring their style to life. My goal is to make planning feel fun, not overwhelming - you’ll always know what to expect and when.
Do you help with décor or setup?
Yes! Our team handles all the tables, chairs, linens, and basic setup, and we work closely with Lethbridge Event Rentals if you’d like to add extra design touches. You can focus on getting ready while we make sure the room looks beautiful.
How early should we book?
Ideally, 6-12 months in advance, especially for summer or long weekend dates. But don’t hesitate to reach out - we have booked and plan weddings in less than a week!
What’s one thing couples always say after hosting their wedding here?
“That was easier than we expected.” Between having the hotel rooms, catering, and event team all under one roof, couples are surprised by how smooth the day runs. It’s effortless elegance - and that’s exactly what we aim for.
What’s your best piece of advice for couples planning their wedding?
Focus on the feeling you want for your day, not just the checklist. The details will all come together (that’s what we’re here for!), but the energy and atmosphere you create with your guests — that’s what makes it unforgettable.
Do you offer tastings?
We sure do! We offer a complimentary tasting every year, at the beginning of the year, for all the couples booked with LA Chefs Catering.
Can we tour the ballrooms before booking?
Absolutely! I always recommend a tour so you can get a real feel for the space, the lighting, the flow, the layout options. You can picture your day so much better in person. I’ll walk you through everything, answer questions, and chat about how to make the space feel uniquely yours.
