Ladysmith, Chemainus, Port Alberni Rooms: Parts of the ballroom with capacities: banquet 60, dinner & dance 40, cocktail reception: 80 guests each
Second-floor venues: Coast Bastion offers several smaller receptions featuring separate entrances; some rooms, such as Colville, have access to an outdoor terrace; capacities: from 20 to 80 guests in various seating arrangements

The staff was friendly, responsive, and professional. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent, and the choices were varied. The hotel is located right across the street from the harbor, and most rooms have gorgeous views of the beautiful Pacific Northwest.This place doesn’t look like much from the outside, but I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the rooms and the excellent service. The staff was friendly, responsive, and professional. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent, and the choices were varied. The staff, the rooms, the gym, and the food. This time, for Christmas, we had our two dogs with us (of which I was nervous about as they don’t usually do well in hotels), and the staff were so welcoming and great. We were given treat bags with toys/treats/baggies which was so great! It made their stay a lot more enjoyable also. The beds are the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on. I always choose this hotel when staying in Nanaimo, everything about it is so great. The staff, the rooms, the gym, and the food. The rooms are clean and spacious and offer great views of the inner harbour. The beds are also amazing and so comfy, I didn’t want to leave!
