Where to start! West Horsley Place was the first wedding venue Hugo and I visited as a couple and safe to say we fell in love at first sight. It is one of the closest venues to our home in Ripley, and only does a few weddings per year, making it feel extra special. However, it is also a charitable enterprise under the West Horsley Place Trust, meaning that our money would not only be used for the restoration project of the beautiful Grade I listed house and estate but also the encouragement of the performing arts. West Horsley Place is perfect for a romantic country house wedding due to the amazing backdrop and architecture for photographs and the fantastic team willing to assist you at every stage of the wedding planning and event itself. A special thank you goes to Carolyn Farrell for ensuring everything was perfect for us. Kearney's catering - also recommended by Carolyn, were sublime, we could not have asked for better food or service. Another perk of this gorgeous venue was that our church, St Mary’s West Horsley, was a stone’s throw away, meaning guests could walk between the church and the venue. Safe to say, West Horsley Place is a stunningly beautiful venue, and one you will not be disappointed with if you choose to have your wedding here.

What an absolutely brilliant day you gave us. We will remember it always. West Horsley Place looked stunning in every way. And thanks to you, the party was seamless. Jamie and I were discussing it yesterday, and agreed it had far surpassed our expectations. Please also extend our thanks to the rest of the Rhubarb and WHP team. First off, thank you so much for everything this weekend. It was an absolute dream and you both helped make that happen. Thank you so much. Honestly it was such a magical day. Thank you again for everything! We had a fabulous wedding at West Horsley Place. From the stunning location to the dedicated team to the delicious food we couldn’t have asked for a more memorable day for our us and our guests.

We wanted to thank you most warmly for all you did to make A and G’s reception such a success. The weather was kind, Rhubarb were very good and you were ‘on it’ the whole way through. Well done and, again, thank you.

We all had an amazing day on Saturday and everybody said it was the best wedding they had ever been too! They had already been wowed by the church, weather and views but seeing West Horsley place surpassed everyone’s expectations. It was a magnificent setting for the reception and the intimacy of the seating created a great energy. Thank you for ensuring that all went smoothly on the day.

The backdrop of WHP in the photos I've seen on peoples phones already look amazing so can't wait to see what our photographer has in store. We were so lucky that the rain cleared & we were able to make use of the gardens as well as the house & Barn. I absolutely love WHP, it has such a comfortable, relaxed yet 'genteel' feel perfect for our wedding & you mirror the management of it in exactly the same way.

I'm sure everyone says this but we really did have the best day and a huge part of that was thanks to you and the venue. The day went far better than we could have ever hoped. You were the dream to work with, both leading up to the day and throughout the day itself. We will miss popping to the venue to plan the big day with you but West Horsley Place will always be an important place to us, so you may well see us there in the years to come.

Thank you so much for going to such special lengths for us, always making everything so easy and accommodating every minute detail. It is hugely appreciated and we know that C&G are most grateful to you - and your amazing team. West Horsley Place is of course a natural winner of a venue in every respect, reception, surroundings, the barn and all its environs, but it's always the people who make it work and make the real difference, which was noticed by all those there on the day.
