Water's Edge at Ewen

My (now husband!) Ian and I got married here in September 2024. When we started looking at wedding venues around a year and a half prior, we were disappointed because we just didn’t feel like anywhere we visited was special enough for our day, and we ended up putting a halt to our search. We then decided a few months later to let look again and thought we would look for venues in the Cotswolds. We saw this new venue Water’s Edge and called up, and were invited only a few days later to come and have a personal visit with the owner. We were so taken by the venue, it is so beautiful and we really fell in love with it. We really loved also that it is a family business rather than a big chain, so the personal feel and attention to detail was obvious to us from the outset. We were well communicated with from reserving our date, to planning beforehand with Will, and then over our wedding weekend, everything was just taken care of. Everything was honestly, so so amazing, the staff, the food, the views, the decor, just everything was so perfect, and we really do feel that our special day was made so much more special because we were in such a beautiful venue. Thank you Water’s Edge for making our day so lovely and for being so welcoming from start to finish.

I have visited Water's Edge a few times now to photograph and video surprise proposals with The Cotswold Proposal Planners. I really do love this venue! It's nestled away in a beautifully peaceful location, surrounded by beautifully clear water and lush greenery. The photo opportunities are endless as there is so much space to walk around and you are more than welcome to venture out around the lakes. The actual building itself has been finished to perfection, with beautifully curated interior design and room for over 100 guests. There is a gorgeous big fireplace, comfy seating areas and outdoor heaters too. The staff are always so welcoming and friendly and have everything planned down to the very last detail. I do love photographing here and always recommend Water's Edge to all my potential clients!

We got married on the 30th May 2024 at Waters Edge. The whole team were incredible from start to finish. They allowed us to be ourselves and show off their incredible venue in our own way. It was roughly 18 months from booking the venue to the day of the wedding and throughout that time we had many conversations with Emma and Steve, bombarding them with questions and ideas. Everyone says ‘things will always go wrong on your wedding day, just don’t worry’. We can honestly say the entire day went perfectly, and this was down to the Waters Edge team. Making sure everyone and everything was where it should be at the right time. We can’t thank them enough for everything they did. As for the venue itself, we don’t need to say a word. Beautiful venue and excellent service!

We truly had the best day and it would never have been possible without the professional yet friendly service every one of you offered to us. We had so many compliments from family and guests not only about the venue but also the food and service too. Everything ran seamlessly and you took care of everything and everyone for us. We are also grateful for you being so accommodating of all the children, we appreciate it isn’t usual to have so many at a wedding so again so grateful to you for your flexibility and understanding.

My husband and I had the pleasure of getting married at Water’s Edge on the 25th July 2024 and I am still living on that Wedding high! This venue honestly speaks for itself, the beauty you see in the photos is real, just totally unbelievable and utterly breathtaking. The day was better than we could ever have imagined and I feel very lucky to have been able to get married here! Will was amazing the entire three days we were there and throughout the lead up. Making sure we were okay, helping where needed and accommodating any of our requests. The chefs were fantastic, taking on board our requests and creating the most delicious food! If you’re looking at getting married somewhere beautiful, surrounded by nature, somewhere tranquil and special, get married here. You won’t regret it!

As one of our guests said, it was like a movie set - Water's Edge is picture perfect but behind the incredible location is an amazing team of outstanding people who could not have done more to ensure we had the best day from start to finish. We had a fabulous day getting married at Water's Edge ! The setting down by the lakes is so different, so beautiful and so special, and the modern bar and dining facilities close at hand were spot on too. The meal was excellent. This was all despite periods of heavy rainfall, with which Will and the team coped easily, reacting to rearrange things smoothly and quickly. This included using their stretch tent down by the water as well as their indoor facilities. That flexibility was vital on the day and no problem at all. The outdoor sections also seemed to have no issue coping with the rainfall. It was such a pleasure dealing with Will, Emma and Steve in the build-up, as well as on the day and in the aftermath. The bedrooms and bathrooms are gorgeous. The whole experience was unforgettable and as good as we could have dreamed of. Big thanks from Richard and Caroline
