Trunkwell House Hotel is situated within 34 acres of the beautiful Berkshire countryside in the village of Beech Hill, Reading.
The hotel is the perfect setting for exclusive and sophisticated Weddings and Events. Our permanent marquees are situated within the grounds of the hotel which allows for glamourous and exclusive entertaining.
Our team have over 25 years of experience and make sure your event is everything you planned it to be, and more!

here at Trunkwell house we have some wonderful packages put together, to make planning your big day as easy as possible! looking for something different? let of our of amazing team know, and they are happy to work on a bespoke basis to suit your needs!
We also offer a dry hire package for our venue, where clients hire only the venue space with tables and chairs, and can bring in their own external suppliers including caterers. In most dry hire packages we include unlimited corkage and our bridal suite for the couple!
we are flexible, so if you have a budget in mind, do let one of our friendly team know, and they would be happy to work with you to suit!

The venue was stunning, with beautiful surroundings and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. A big thank you to Rene, the manager, who stood out for his professionalism, kindness, and attentiveness throughout the event. He made sure everything ran smoothly and went out of his way to ensure guests were comfortable and well looked after. Sophie and Rene were so attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. I honestly couldn't have wished for a more perfect day and it’s all thanks to these guys. We are so lucky to have had them by our side throughout. I've loved every minute of our experience.From viewing the venue to the very end we were looked after by all here. We knew that it was the one as soon as we arrived at the initial viewing. All of the staff were amazing throughout, but Sophie and Rene were just exceptional, nothing was ever too much trouble. They went above and beyond and helped bring all of our ideas to life, they were always quick at responding to our many emails and getting meetings booked in. Everything ran so smoothly on the day!!The venue is so beautiful, well maintained and we loved how much space there was for all of our guests. They were always open to our ideas and willing to make them work for everyone. They were responsive within emails and helpful when needing further information. Everything ran pretty much on time, food was beautiful & our guests and us really enjoyed the meal, staff were always polite and approachable. The staff were brilliant, Hannah looked after us and Tony, general manager oversaw everything. All the staff worked so hard to make our day so special a huge thank you to Hannah who done everything she could to help, answered all my questions (which was a lot lol) helped me on the day, nothing was too much trouble she treated us like friends and made me feel at ease! Especially as I was so nervous all the time, you are very kind and honest and clearly love your job so thank you! The food was amazing all our guests commented throughout the day and said how amazing everything was that’s so lovely to hear after a long time planning. The sun came out and we had our perfect day! I cannot recommend this place enough. We had the best experience at Trunkwell!My husband and I got married here on the 18th August 2018 and we truly had the best experience at Trunkwell. Everything ran so smoothly and Tony was superb! Hannah was our point of contact through out the planning process and answered all our questions. Don't panic and take your time to make decisions, its a big day and has to be perfect for you. Get a wedding planner book to help you keep track of things and use a spreadsheet for comparison when choosing your venue/suppliers.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Memory tables are beautiful and really touching, we've had a couple previously who have kept a reserved seat for a member who sadly couldn't be there but just because they couldn't be there doesn't mean they wouldn't be a part of their special day!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
Our Paddock fields out the back have THE most amazing sunsets in the area and views across the countryside it's beautiful even if we do say so ourselves!

We have many famous guests here at the venue, our favourites so far was Levi Roots & Cilla Black!
