Description

We believe that what we offer at Treberfydd is truly special: exclusive use of our historic home in a stunning country setting, and the flexibility to organise your wedding however you wish. Located in the Brecon Beacons National Park, we overlook Llangorse lake, with breathtaking views across to the Black Mountains, and 10 acres of peaceful gardens: ideal for wedding photographs.

Our Victorian, Grade I-listed house is licensed for wedding ceremonies, so you can choose to be married in the billiards room or drawing room; alternatively, St Gastyn’s, an ancient church on the shores of the lake, is a short walk away. Treberfydd itself can sleep up to 10 on a B&B basis, and we have four self-catering properties nearby on the estate: the Barn (sleeps 8), the Saddlery Cottage (sleeps 6), Hafod y Llyn Cottage (sleeps 4) and Molly's Wagon (sleeps 2), so we can accommodate a total of 30 people. With use of the house and grounds for the weekend, you are welcome to host a barbecue or drinks in the gardens the night before the wedding, and/or the following day, or we can discuss the options for a small catered meal in the dining room.

Because we only host a limited number of weekend weddings per year, each one is different, and how you’d like to celebrate is entirely up to you. Whether it’s a small family gathering or a large-scale event with a marquee, an informal buffet or a three-course meal, you are free to create your own mood, style and schedule. We can recommend caterers and other suppliers, and we don’t charge corkage.

We offer intimate weddings for up to 40 guests in the house throughout the year (excluding June and July), with exclusive access to the ground-floor rooms of the house and the gardens for £5,050. This includes two nights B&B accommodation in the main house (five bedrooms, up to 10 guests). You can book our additional self-catering accommodation separately for extra guests. For those dreaming of a grander celebration, enjoy exclusive use of the elegant ground-floor rooms of the house for two hours, the perfect setting for an intimate and sophisticated reception. Please note that to extend your celebration into the picturesque gardens, you'd need to hire a marquee and restroom facilities of your choice. This exclusive package also includes two nights of indulgent accommodation, all for a total of £6,850. We know wedding planning can be overwhelming, so we'll happily share our list of preferred suppliers and local accommodation with you.

Attended a wedding at this lovely venue. The grounds are full of very nice shrubs and flowering plants. There was a marquee in one area of the grounds big enough for approximately 400 seated guests. We got married at Treberfydd this year and had the most incredible day. I cannot imagine the day anywhere else - it is the most stunning house and has such a lovely feel to it. The whole experience was relaxed and nothing was a problem. Sally and Hugh did an amazing job making sure our day was perfect and Roland made the most beautiful canopy - we were really blown away. Thank you all so much, we cannot recommend Treberfydd enough!We got married at Treberfydd this year and had the most incredible day. We had our son’s wedding here last weekend and it was truly amazing. With both western and eastern traditions, the day was complex, but Sally, Roland, and their teams made it so special. The stunning venue, beautiful grounds, and even lamb-feeding for the children made it magical. Ceremonies at the front and back of the house worked perfectly. We highly recommend Treberfydd, Sally, and the team for an unforgettable day. Huge thanks to everyone involved - you were incredible!We had our son’s wedding here last weekend and it was truly amazing. We just wanted to say a massive thank you for everything - what an incredible weekend. The entire family loved every room we stayed in, and all of the others who came on the day commented on how beautiful the house and the gardens were. We wouldn’t have changed a thing and wish we could do it all over again! The catered breakfasts in the dining room made it all the more special - your children were so polite and attentive, and the dogs so sweet in de-stressing a stressed bride! We just wanted to say a massive thank you for everything - what an incredible weekend. A big thank you for all your help with planning our wedding and being so accommodating. The stunning setting, grounds and house, especially the beautiful conservatory where we had our ceremony, all contributed to making it so special. But what made the biggest difference is that this is a family home, not a commercial wedding venue. We felt so relaxed on the day because of the warm welcome we received. Sally, her family and the team were so accommodating and put so much care and thought into everything they do, which allowed us to have such a happy, peaceful, meaningful day.The stunning setting, grounds and house, especially the beautiful conservatory where we had our ceremony, all contributed to making it so special. As a wedding planner I love doing weddings here. The grounds are simply stunning, with the perfect location for your marquee within close distance to the house. The family who run the venue are so easy to work with. Highly recommend! Unlike most marquee locations you even have a wet weather back up for drinks in the main house (which you don't come across very often!) As a wedding planner I love doing weddings here.
