Tonbridge School is set within a magnificent 150-acre site in the heart of Kent, with beautiful gardens and architecture. Featuring 6 locations licenced for ceremonies and a variety of contemporary and traditional function rooms, Tonbridge School has an array of options to create your perfect day.
We offer a range of catering options to complement the style of your day from hog roasts and afternoon teas, to 3 course wedding breakfasts and bespoke menus created just for you. Supporting local suppliers, we pride ourselves with providing the very best locally sourced ingredients.

The food was absolutely delicious and despite the huge number of positive COVID tests that we are all having to live with, you managed to have plenty of staff available who all knew what they were to do and when. I have hosted many parties over the years, at all sorts of venues, and if I ever hold another party or help with organising a wedding, Tonbridge School will be my first port of call. many thanks I just wanted to write to tell you how brilliantly you and your team were. The food was absolutely delicious and despite the huge number of positive COVID tests that we are all having to live with, you managed to have plenty of staff available who all knew what they were to do and when. I will never forget Annabelle walking down the aisle, the ceremony with Serena who was wonderful and the reception. We couldn’t be happier and couldn’t have done it without your help. It should really be a proper letter but in this new life of mine I am afraid that time for such niceties is in short supply ! Gordon and I are just so thankful to you and to Rebecca and to the amazing staff of Tonbridge School for your tremendous kindness and professional skill which made our Reception on Saturday a joy and delight to one and all. We have had so many appreciative, positive comments about just about everything and about everyone concerned. Your own welcome to us was so warm and personal. We were guided through every aspect of the afternoon so we just knew that all would be well. You had found the perfect chairs for us which made such a difference to Gordon so he felt he could be independent when he got up and down. The food was delicious and again was enjoyed by everyone. We had our reception in Skinners library which was the perfect setting and the food first class. Service was excellent with everything catered for. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
One of the most memorable weddings was when the wedding couple chose to have spaghetti bolognese (not normally on our wedding breakfast menu!) and provided all their guests with bibs so they didn't get tomato sauce on their finery!
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Arrange a viewing at a few different wedding venues and ask to meet the wedding coordinator and team that will be working on your day. This will give you peace of mind that on your wedding day so you can sit back and enjoy it with your guests, knowing and trusting that the team have everything covered
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
One wedding couple purchased mini lego figures and personalised them for each guest. It must have been very time consuming but the guests loved them!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
This is a difficult one! One of the reasons couples like Tonbridge School is the variety of different locations for photos. We have a mix of buildings dating back to 1553 with amazing stonework, as well as modern buildings and incredible gardens. One of our favourite locations is the Garden of Remembrance which features a black pond, perfect for beautiful reflection pictures

What’s your favourite canapé?
Mini Yorkshire puddings with roast beef and horseradish - you can't beat it!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Wood fired pizza - tasty hot or cold!

We love that every wedding that takes place here has the freedom to customise almost every aspect of their day so it is truly unique.
