I have become obsessed over all things Tudor over the last several years, so its very intriguing to hear your story. I wish I lived in Thornbury so we could talk about it over coffee or a cocktail! Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
We were lucky enough to host a two day Exclusive Use Wedding, where the guests had knights turn up and have a sword fight, and a party all the way through to 1am with fireworks to finish the night off. Truly spectacular!

Be true to yourselves - It's your day, it's about you and don't worry about pleasing everyone coming to the wedding

When a couple just focus on each other and nothing else matters

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
The best spot in the Castle for me, has to be in the Summer House, looking up at the gorgeous Castle and St. Mary's Church.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Absolutely, however every wedding is just as important as the last to the team at Thornbury Castle.
What’s your favourite canapé?
I would have to say Salmon and Caviar because it's perfect with a glass of bubbly!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Well, it has to be a platter of locally sourced cheese, biscuits and compliments with a cheeky glass of Port.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
King Henry VIII used to walk the same steps as you would do on your wedding day!
What part of your business are you most proud of?
The hard working and excellent team, our gorgeous and sustainable food and the incredible sense of history that the surroundings provide.
