Wide-open Cotswolds countryside as far as the eye can see — on a clear day, all the way to the Black Mountains of Wales. The kind of view that makes you feel happily lost in a far-flung corner of England, when really you're only a few miles from Stroud, Cheltenham and Gloucester, with easy rail links to London.

We do one wedding at a time, always on an exclusive-use basis. Our team will look after you from arrival to the last track. Guests feel at home and rarely want to leave — we hear that a lot.

We tend to say yes. Want a full-blown festival of entertainment, your own booze, candles and fires, late-into-the-night dancing, the whole place for the weekend? Go for it. We won't tie you to a list of suppliers or insist you use our kitchens.

That said, you'll probably choose to eat with us anyway. Our in-house chefs are five-star rated, and the menu — wild, sustainable, homegrown where we can, locally sourced where we can't — is worth making the centrepiece of your day.

The only thing we ask in return is that you treat this place the way we do. We care deeply about the land, and the planet more broadly.

We use our own produce where we can, local if we can't. A beautifully refined bunch of food lovers and chefs whizzing up miracles in the kitchen. Many of the ingredients are grown in our walled garden, our bread is from our flour and we are now also producing wild meat from our organic pasture fed free-roaming longhorn cattle.

From the moment we set eyes on Elmore Court, we knew it was the perfect place for us to get married. The venue is breathtakingly beautiful, with a charm that instantly captivated us. Our journey began with a tour led by the amazing Alice. She instantly connected with us and truly understood our personalities, making us feel so at ease. Her warmth and authenticity made us wish for her as our coordinator. Fate had an interesting plan for us, as we worked with three different coordinators throughout our two-year planning process. First, we met the fantastic Annie, followed by the sensational Kat, whose legendary expertise at Elmore reassured us every step of the way. When Kat moved into a new role, she told us Alice would take over—and it felt like the perfect full-circle moment. Our vision for the wedding was very specific. Coming from military families, we wanted the event to reflect a classic elegance, and Elmore Court naturally lent itself to creating the atmosphere we dreamed of. From start to finish, the team was incredibly kind and accommodating, even as I—an admittedly detail-driven, "A-type" bride—made numerous requests. Despite some initial challenges, the team always came back with thoughtful solutions, especially considering the logistics of hosting 200 guests. A highlight of our weekend was staying in the Coach House from Thursday. Everything was prepared for us, including a lovely note and chocolates from Alice. It was such a personal touch and made the start of the weekend feel even more magical. Breakfast in the Coach House on Friday and Saturday mornings was delightful, as was dining in the main house on other occasions. Friday was a special day as we celebrated both my and my cousin’s birthdays. Dinner in the dining room was set up beautifully, and the Great Hall hosted a lively party afterward. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the stunning staircase, the cozy drawing room, and the overall grandeur of the venue. Saturday was everything we hoped for and more. Thanks to Alice and our planner, the day unfolded seamlessly, leaving us free to savor every moment. The confetti line was picture-perfect, and the transition to the Gillyflower left our guests in awe. From the flowers to the décor, everything was stunning. The food was exceptional, and the dance floor reveal was a showstopper. The party was unforgettable. The Gillyflower’s sound system is phenomenal, and the fireworks were the perfect ending to an incredible day. Nearly a month later, people are still talking about it, and we can’t help but feel proud of how perfect it all was. Of course, no event is without its hiccups. The move from the Coach House to the main house on the wedding day felt hectic, and I did lose a few items in the process, which was disappointing. I wish there had been a bit more time or assistance with this transition, but in the grand scheme, it didn’t diminish the joy of the day. Alice, you are a star. The best two days ever!The best two days ever!
From the moment we pulled through those big gates and up the drive, we knew Elmore was the one. We booked it there and then for two years later and made the best decision possible! We went with a long Thursday, so had access to the house from the night before the wedding - another amazing decision! We chose to have a big BBQ and invite all of our day guests so they could get to know eachother before the big day. We had amazing food (still need that beef brisket recipe!), had lawn games, and Elmore even helped us host a screening of the euro-semi finals. The wedding day itself couldn't have been more perfect. Our wedding coordinator was Jasmine and she couldn't have done more for us, from answering our countless emails to running with 20 seconds to spare to help me stick a photograph back on my bouquet right before I walked down the aisle. She was incredible. The day itself was also amazing - the hall looked amazing for our ceremony, and people commented on how it was the nicest wedding venue they'd ever been to. It really is a mix of all tastes - old meets new here so you have a bit of everything. The food was also amazing. I am gluten free and the venue managed to make all the canapes gluten free for me in case I wanted to help myself to more. Multiple people noted about how great the food was as well. Overall we just had the best day ever, we wish we could do it all again - nothing went with a hitch and we will be talking about it for years to come!! Our magical wedding at Elmore Court...Our magical wedding at Elmore Court...
We had the most magical wedding day at Elmore Court on Saturday 2nd December 2023 - a day we will never forget! Elmore Court was the first wedding venue we visited while scouting venues in the South West two years ago. We instantly fell in love with the venue and felt we wouldn’t find anywhere better. So, we cancelled our other viewings and booked our date with Elmore! The entire process from that point on was a breeze, thanks to the fabulous 'Team E'. Everyone we interacted with - from Sue in Accounts to our brilliant coordinators, Rachael and Alice - went above and beyond, both in the lead-up to the day and on the day itself, ensuring we were well looked after throughout. We visited Elmore again before the big day (once for the menu tasting and twice more for their open days). This allowed us plenty of time to explore the venue and plan every detail of our wedding. In the final weeks leading up to the wedding (when all the planning can start to feel overwhelming!), Rachael & Alice were a massive godsend, ensuring everything was fully taken care of and putting us at ease. The wedding itself went off without a hitch. The venue looked absolutely beautiful, thanks to the hard work and dedication of Team E and our florist, who created a magical setting (made even more enchanting by the winter fog surrounding the venue). The staff were faultless throughout, with everyone we encountered - from the bar and kitchen staff to the waiting team - being friendly and professional. The biggest appeal of Elmore for us was that everything could happen under one roof. The ceremony took place inside the beautiful Hall, the reception was held in the Gillyflower (a stunning purpose-built party room that was the major selling point for us, with its soundproofed dance floor, stage, sound system, and lighting), and the venue offering 16 beautiful bedrooms for our guests to stay. We knew we could fully relax as soon as we arrived on-site, and we truly felt like we were inside our very own bubble where we could celebrate with all our guests. The food was the best wedding food we have ever tasted. We thoroughly enjoyed the menu selection/tasting experience, and the presentation was perfect. Everyone loved it! We received countless positive comments from our guests, who all agreed that Elmore is one of the best wedding venues they had ever been to. We are still receiving rave reviews now, six months later! Elmore now holds a very special place in our hearts, and we will certainly return in the future to stay in one of their fabulous treehouses! Every single detail is taken care of and tailored to the way you would like it. Nothing is too much trouble for the team, every single member of staff were friendly, helpful and personable. Our wedding coordinator Alice was there every step of the way to help with anything we needed, there are no words to describe the positive impact she had on our day and how her expertise allowed us to enjoy it all 😁 We will never forget our wedding day at Elmore Court. The perfect wedding venue The perfect wedding venue
We got married at Elmore Court this June and we cannot recommend it enough. From the moment we first saw the house driving through the stunning gates, we knew it was special and that we couldn't see ourselves getting married anywhere else. My husband and I are both lovers of history and we wanted a venue with character and charm and Elmore had that in spades and was known as the party house for a reason! We booked it for a Saturday and Sunday as we had family and friends travelling from all across the UK as well as from further afield and we wanted to spend as much time as we could at Elmore. From beginning to end everyone we've dealt with at Elmore has been endlessly professional but made us feel like old friends in every interaction. We had Alice as our co-ordinator and she was absolutely brilliant! She was so calm and helpful and ensured the day went smoothly. The attention to detail is second to none at Elmore, the whole time there felt like you were at home not a venue. The house speaks for itself with how stunning it is and we loved that when we were shown around they were able to tell us stories about certain rooms and of the house which made it so much more personable. The Gillyflower which is their purpose-built function area at the back of the house doesn't steal the spotlight from the house and blends in beautifully with the surroundings but is a showstopper in its own right. They really thought of everything when building it. From being eco-conscious and using materials from the estate to build it down to the sound system there isn't a detail missed. The food at Elmore was STUNNING. So many guests told us how much they had enjoyed the food and that it was the best wedding meal they'd had. They were accommodating to all the dietary requirements and allergies of our guests. The breakfasts in the morning were also incredibly delicious. On the Sunday we invited guests back and we had a day in the garden playing rounders and other games. We also had an inflatable assault course put up in the field at the back by the Gillyflower which was great and adults and kids alike had so much fun! For the evening meal, we had platters of cheese and charcuterie in the walled garden which was amazing. It was so pretty and peaceful listening to the gentle breeze through the trees and the chatter of everyone there it was idyllic. When the sun started to set we went inside and sat in the drawing room and stayed up until the early hours playing some intense games of Mafia. It was so cosy and inviting and the perfect place to gather at the end of the day. As I said at the start, I can't recommend Elmore enough. Words can not describe how this venue made our days so magical. The compliments we had from our guests after our wedding confirmed the feelings we had on our perfect day. The service was impeccable, kind and caring staff, who throughout looked after myself, my husband and most of all our guest. Great value for money, such a wonderful family feeling you get from the staff and the way they looked after us all was amazing from start to finish.
