The Venue at Kersey Mill is a wonderful setting for a countryside wedding, located in the Suffolk countryside. If you are looking for an exclusive use venue, with a friendly team of staff to work with to create the wedding of your dreams, then look no further! The historic Maltings function suite provides a lovely area for the ceremony, with beams and original brickwork, and can accommodate up to 120 daytime guests. For smaller, more intimate ceremonies, the Kiln Room offers a romantic setting with the capacity for up to 30 guests. It also features a very impressive chandelier, perfect for magical couple shots with your photographer. These two rooms are also great reception spaces. The Maltings, can accommodate 120 guests for a seated meal and 180 for a buffet. The Kiln room is perfect for smaller buffets to be served in. There is also the Gallery Bar, used for arrival drinks, or as a separate space for evening entertainment, e.g. photobooth/gaming tables. Set within 17 acres of private land, there are plent of photo opportunities for you to explore. From the very first time we came to look around the venue, they made us feel completely welcome and at ease. There was never any pressure or hard sell; they simply showed us around, listened to what we wanted from our wedding and gave us plenty of time to take everything in. We left our first viewing feeling like we had found somewhere really special. Throughout the planning process, Charlene was absolutely amazing. There are so many little things to think about when organising a wedding and whenever we had a question, changed our minds about something or started worrying about a detail, she was there to help. Nothing ever seemed like too much trouble. Having that personal contact made such a difference because we never felt like we were just another wedding booking or reference number. Ross was equally fantastic and you can really see how much passion they both have for the venue and for making sure couples have the best possible experience. Between them, they made us feel as though they genuinely cared about our wedding rather than simply providing a venue for the day. When our wedding finally arrived, we were completely blown away. The venue looked absolutely beautiful and seeing everything we'd spent months planning finally come together was quite emotional. The character of Kersey Mill, the beams, brickwork and beautiful grounds created exactly the atmosphere we'd wanted. The biggest compliment we can give Charlene, Ross and the team is that once the wedding started, we didn't have to think about anything. Everything seemed to happen exactly when it should and any little things going on behind the scenes were dealt with without us even knowing about them. We could simply concentrate on getting married, spending time with our family and friends and enjoying every second of the day. Our guests absolutely loved the venue too. We had so many people telling us how beautiful Kersey Mill was, how friendly everyone had been and what a fantastic atmosphere there was. The evening was brilliant and seeing the dance floor full of our friends and family was the perfect way to finish the day. What really separates Kersey Mill from other venues we looked at is the personal, family-run feeling. Charlene and Ross aren't hidden away behind an office somewhere; they're actually involved and genuinely interested in making your wedding special. By the time our wedding arrived, it felt like we were dealing with people we'd known for much longer rather than simply the owners of our wedding venue. If you're considering The Venue at Kersey Mill for your wedding, we would absolutely recommend going to see it. Photographs don't fully capture the character and atmosphere of the place, and meeting Charlene and Ross was ultimately what made the decision so easy for us. We had already planned so much and I was worried about what the change of ownership would mean for our big day. But honestly, I had nothing to worry about The work Ross and Charlene have put into the venue in such a short amount of time is unreal. They have worked so hard to make everything perfect, and they genuinely couldn’t have done more for us. From the moment we arrived, we felt so looked after, and they went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. They took what was initially something I was really worried about and turned it into something I’m so grateful for.
