The Granary Estates is a stunning barn wedding venue set within a private countryside estate, offering exclusive use and a truly immersive experience for you and your guests. The venue features two beautifully restored barns, linked by a contemporary glass walkway and centred around a private courtyard- perfect for relaxed drinks receptions and outdoor moments throughout the day.
Licensed for civil ceremonies, the Flint Barn provides an intimate setting for up to 88 guests, while the Granary Barn can host up to 175 guests for your wedding breakfast. The courtyard accommodates up to 120 guests, and the venue can welcome up to 240 guests for your evening celebration.
The estates also features a dedicated outdoor confetti area, allowing for those all-important just-married moments in a picturesque setting. Fully wheelchair accessible and available all year round, The Granary Estates combines flexibility, privacy, and understated luxury.

Accommodation
The Granary Estates offers stylish on-site accommodation for up to 26 guests, allowing your closest family and friends to stay and fully enjoy the celebrations. The on site cottages provide a great on site space to get ready in the night before your celebrations.
In addition, a collection of contemporary lodges offers high-quality, thoughtfully designed spaces with modern amenities, creating a comfortable and elegant home-from-home experience. Having accommodation on-site not only adds convenience but enhances the overall atmosphere, turning your wedding into a shared and extended celebration.

What makes The Granary Estates different from other wedding venues?
We think it’s the combination of character, flexibility and the people behind the scenes. Our historic barns have plenty of personality, but we’ve designed the spaces so couples can really make them their own. From an outdoor ceremony and drinks in the courtyard to dinner in the Granary Barn and dancing late into the evening, your day can flow naturally from one space to the next. Most importantly, you’re not just booking a venue- you’re getting a team who genuinely care about making your wedding brilliant.
What is it like working with your Events Team?
We like to think we’re the calm in the chaos! Our role is to know the venue inside out, anticipate the things you might not have thought about and make sure everything feels effortless on the day. We’ll be there throughout your planning journey to answer questions, talk through ideas and help bring everything together. On the wedding day itself, our couples can relax knowing we’ve got the logistics covered.
How much freedom do couples have to personalise their wedding?
A lot! We love seeing couples put their own stamp on the venue. Whether that means incredible florals, quirky details, family traditions, statement styling or something we’ve never seen before, we’re here for it. We’ve had couples transform our barns into everything from romantic countryside celebrations to full-on enchanted forests- and we genuinely love seeing the spaces evolve with every wedding.
Can we have our ceremony and reception all at the same venue?
Absolutely, and it’s one of the things couples love most about The Granary Estates. You can say “I do” in our outdoor ceremony space or within the barns, enjoy drinks and canapés in the courtyard, and then move through into your wedding breakfast and evening celebrations without anyone needing to get in a car. It also means your guests can relax and enjoy the day with you from start to finish.
What happens if it rains?
We’re in England, so we’re very good at having a Plan B! Luckily, our barns and courtyard give us plenty of flexibility, so a little rain doesn’t have to change the feel of your day. We’ll work with you to make sure there’s always a beautiful alternative, and our team will make any last-minute changes behind the scenes so you don’t have to worry about them.
How involved are you on the wedding day?
Very! We’re not the sort of venue team who hand you the keys and disappear. We’ll be there behind the scenes making sure timings run smoothly, suppliers know where they need to be, guests are looked after and all those little details you spent months planning actually happen. Our aim is for you to barely notice us, because that usually means everything is going exactly as it should.
Can we bring our own ideas and suppliers?
We love a couple with a vision! We have a carefully selected list of trusted suppliers we know and love, but we also understand that sometimes you’ve already found someone who is perfect for your day. We’re always happy to talk through your ideas and work with you to create something that feels personal rather than “off the shelf”.
What is the biggest piece of advice you give couples?
Don’t get so caught up in creating the “perfect wedding” that you forget to actually enjoy getting married! Your wedding should feel like you. Choose the things that matter to you, don’t worry too much about what everyone else is doing and trust your suppliers to do what they do best. And on the day? Eat the canapés, have the drink, get on the dance floor and take a moment together to look around the room. It really does go incredibly quickly.
What do couples usually say after their wedding?
One of our favourite things to hear is that couples felt they could completely relax because they knew our team had everything under control. We often hear that the planning process gave them confidence and that on the day itself they were able to be fully present with their family and friends rather than worrying about what was happening behind the scenes. For us, that’s the ultimate compliment.
What is your favourite part of being a wedding venue?
Without a doubt, seeing everything come together. We get to meet couples when they’re just starting to imagine their wedding, watch their ideas develop throughout the planning process and then see the finished result on the day. No two weddings are ever the same, and we genuinely love that. One weekend we might be surrounded by wild florals and candlelight, and the next we’re watching a couple arrive by tractor or dance the night away under a completely transformed barn. We feel very lucky to be part of so many brilliant love stories!
