Venue Spaces & Capacity
Trades Hall features five unique function rooms, giving you the flexibility to tailor your wedding experience. You can book individual rooms or reserve the entire building for exclusive use, ensuring your day feels truly personal and private.
- The Grand Hall: The centerpiece of Trades Hall, this elegant and airy space boasts five stunning arched windows and magnificent chandeliers. Its ceiling is crafted from West African avodire wood, highlighted by a seven-metre dome and a beautiful gold frieze. It comfortably accommodates up to 250 guests—ideal for your main ceremony or reception.
- The Saloon: With mahogany-paneled walls featuring gilt lettering, three restored stained glass windows, and a classic white marble fireplace, The Saloon offers a breathtaking and intimate atmosphere for your wedding events.
- The Robert Adam Room: Filled with natural light, this recently renovated room has beautiful wooden floors and sparkling chandeliers. It’s perfect for smaller gatherings, pre-dinner cocktails, or a quiet moment with close family and friends.
- The Reception Room: Featuring a fresh, contemporary style with elegant tones and polished hardwood floors, this room creates a warm and inviting space for intimate wedding receptions.
Catering & Services
Your wedding day deserves flawless food and service. Trades Hall partners with two award-winning Scottish caterers—Regis Banqueting and Top Class Catering—to offer a variety of menu options. From classic Scottish dishes to fully personalized menus, they can accommodate all dietary needs, including Halal and Kosher options.
The venue is fully licensed for marriage ceremonies and equipped with modern amenities like state-of-the-art air conditioning and architectural lighting. These features ensure you and your guests stay comfortable and enjoy a beautifully lit, welcoming atmosphere throughout your celebration.

The weather is no issue because of the big size of the venue which you have exclusive use of. The venue itself and the staff there exceeded all expectations prior to the wedding and on the day. Our guests commented how stunning it was, how good the food was (we used Regis caterers) and how well the day flowed (we made use of all the rooms). The historic venue makes the perfect backdrop to pictures. It is really atmospheric and grand yet somehow feels cosy and welcoming too. It felt like such a unique space to call ours for the day. It was also really handy city centre location for guests travelling near and far with lots of hotels and airbnb options nearby. We also got some great wedding photos in George Square. Comments from guests included "Spectactular venue" "We felt like we were in a Jane Austen novel" "Perfect location" We held our wedding here in Dec 2024, what an absolutely fantastic city wedding venue. Your colleagues were fantastic too, particularly to the man who organised the speeches, and was there into the evening. Trades Hall is stunning, all our guests thought so too, and I can't recommend it enough! I'm so glad Craig agreed in the end to have photos taken out on the balcony, it was beautiful out there! Craig and I would like to thank you so much for everything you have done to help us with our wedding, arranging rooms, and the easels, cake stand, card box- everything! Your colleagues were fantastic too, particularly to the man who organised the speeches, and was there into the evening. Never did we feel under informed or in any way nervous that everything wouldn't go absolutely perfectly! We were always in touch about the finer details, we utilised every inch of the building and completely to our wishes!. The building and staff were absolutely amazing. Big mention to Willie, who helped throughout the day and evening, nothing was a bother! From moving tables at our request, to flagging down taxis for guests at the end of the night! They also held onto our belongings under lock and key until the Monday so there was no pressure or rush to gather up all the gifts and all sorts of items left behind. The cost of the hire of the building was more than reasonable in our opinion and our guests have continually commented on the amazing history that the building boasts, which held lots of interest on the day. Further, the preferred suppliers appointed for the catering by trades Hall are second to none. Top Class Catering are very clearly close colleagues of trades Hall and it shows! We just knew that we had to get married here. From the staff to the space it made our day so magical. The trades hall was flexible with us and allowed us to have the most perfect stress-free day. If we had any requests, they were happy to accommodate. Great value for money with the multiple room facilities and location.
