Yourself, Aidan and Gasey and the rest of the staff on the day did such a fantastic job in making sure everything ran smoothly, if anything went wrong then we had no idea! We had so many comments from guests about how lovely the venue was, delicious meal and how efficient everything ran. You put our minds at ease from the very first meeting, the planning stage was not really stressful at all for us as you had everything covered and made sure no small detail was forgotten, even thinking of things that would never have crossed our minds. We really appreciated you and Gasey (and in our excitement, we forgot the name of the man who guided us through the evening). All were fantastic. We really appreciated the top table waiter, who let us know when food was about to come out so we could meander back to the top table (we both thought this was an excellent touch). A very slick service throughout. We also loved the 20mins we got with the canapés and just to process the day up till that point. My sisters came to join and it was nice for us all to debrief. We also loved the warm welcome you gave both of us on arriving at the venue! It made us feel very at ease! Our only criticism is that we can’t do it all over again! Although Ken is originally from Scotland, we planned the whole wedding from Houston Texas. Pauline kept in touch with us and did virtual meetings to tie up all our plans. She even officiated our wedding last minute as our original officiant fell sick. This was Pauline's first time officiating a wedding at Citation, too! It ended up working out beautifully as Pauline had established a relationship with us over the last year. The entire day was seamless from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond for us, putting batteries in about 50 LED candles, and assembling a delicate wooden box. Ken and I both said we felt like we had permission to just exist in the day. We didn't have to worry. We didn't have to plan or think anymore. We were well-cared for. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. Everyone always had a smile. They remembered the guests and their preferences. Even our guests commented that the staff at citation were a finely tuned and very friendly machine. So professional. We can't say enough kind words to express our gratitude for the perfect day. Honestly, no other feedback. Our experience from beginning to end was nothing short of magical! A special thanks to Pauline, Julie and Kim who made everything run smoothly and left no question unturned. Our family and friends were blown away by the venue and haven't stopped raving about the food ever since. The fact that the whole venue is yours on the day just adds that special touch and made it feel even more special. We wish we could do it all again. I just want to firstly thank you for everything with regards to the build up to the wedding, from the correspondence to the lovely meetups finalising all the details and ensuring our day was everything we wanted. I am still not over how beautiful our venue looked - the setting was just perfect for a November wedding. The dance floor was never empty, and the bar staff coped amazingly with the volume of people topping up their drinks. On the day Kim ensured everything ran to perfection, the timings throughout the day, ensuring the vendors were well looked after and checking in with us to make sure we were having the best time. I wish I could do it all over again, our guests were so complimentary of the venue and the great night that they had! You all make a really special and amazing team! One of your staff I'm not sure of his name gentlemen who was there at the day of the menu tasting he was so lovely and attentive also. At one point I had an empty Prosecco glass which he noticed and was over topping up before I even noticed, also I made a change to the song choice before the wedding and told the DJ but hadn’t shared with Kim, she had obviously been running through the songs with DJ and noticed the change and came to double check with me. It’s these small acts that make all the difference! Hope you all have a lovely Christmas and have some well-deserved rest. Love Claire & Joe x .
