Our venue has been described as a rural gem, both in the unique style of the building and also in the warm welcome provided by the team. Bare Cotswold stone walls, gallery seating and pillars all underneath the vaulted ceiling and theatre lights – there’s no other space like it.

We seat up to 220 guests for a wedding ceremony, up to 70 for wedding breakfast and can accommodate up to 150 for drinks and dancing in your reception.

We can work with you to create the backdrop you’ve been dreaming of, or advise you on what we know works. Unlike many venues, we aren’t precious about what you can and can’t do – if we can make it work, we will!

The Theatre can host just 5 weddings a year, so book a call with our events manager now to start planning your special day.

Wedding coordinator available on the day

A ceremony hire provides exclusive access to our full Front of House for a 6-hour period, including 3 hours for set-up and 3 hours for a ceremony and drinks. Staging: You have the option to keep the Theatre’s traditional seating or to hire in your own giving you more options to play with. A reception hire provides exclusive access to our full Front of House for a 12-hour period, including 3 hours for set-up and 9 hours for a reception. We can offer early access for caterers from 10am for a flat fee of £100. A ceremony and reception hire provides exclusive access to our full Front of House for a 15-hour period, including 3 hours for set-up, 3 hours for a ceremony and drinks, and 9 hours for a reception. Staging: We would hire in seating for these options to allow us to flip the auditorium from Ceremony to Reception Room whilst you enjoy your Cake Cutting, Photos or Drinks elsewhere in the Theatre.

Glenn and the team at The Theatre were amazing. Glenn was so supportive when we were planning, helping us organise everything in the year leading up to the wedding. We had several meetings and he listened to our ideas and wishes and suggested some we hadn’t thought of (including access to some of The Theatre props) and helped us turn them into reality. On the day we couldn't have asked for more...Glenn and the team at The Theatre were amazing. Glenn was so supportive when we were planning, helping us organise everything in the year leading up to the wedding. Our guests absolutely loved the theatre and we’ve heard from so many people how special and unique it was. Having the ceremony on the stage meant that everyone could see us clearly and it felt very intimate despite us having over 200 guests. The steps outside were also perfect for the RAF Guard of Honour afterwards.  Everyone at the theatre was so helpful and supportive. Glenn couldn’t do enough for us to make sure it ran smoothly, including being on hand whenever we needed him on the day...Our guests absolutely loved the theatre and we’ve heard from so many people how special and unique it was. Our wedding was as perfect as we could imagine. The theatre added that special magic dust it brings to all its shows and bestowed it upon our wedding. The staff were incredible and made us feel so special. The preparation and the day went so smoothly and made it all so easy for us. We had all the information we needed as well as sharing our ideas and have the theatre make them into reality. We couldn't have wished for more! Our wedding was as perfect as we could imagine. My husband and I got married at The Theatre Chipping Norton, just less than a week ago and we had the best, smoothest & most perfect day ever. Planning the wedding with the theatres staff was easy; good communication, staff were easy to talk to and they always replied in a timely manner. That’s only the beginning.
