Mercure Thame Lambert Hotel is in a romantic setting and licensed for civil, religious and humanist ceremonies in Watlington. We are delighted to host ceremonies up to 100 guests in our wedding suites, the perfect spot where you can share your all-important vows with your nearest and dearest.
Our caring philosophy really comes into its own. Let us look after your special day, your every whim and need. Booking a wedding at Mercure Thame Lambert Hotel is not the customary frustrating experience, nor the anonymous transaction. - TTracey & Ian02/11/2025This is the service that every couple wants for their celebrationThis is the service that every couple wants for their celebrationFor us, this was the perfect venue. It could comfortably hold the 80-100 guests we were expecting and enough rooms for guests to stay the night, at a reasonable rate. There are 2 outdoor areas, one with outdoor tables and chairs, the other a pagoda, and a lawned area. The location worked for us - near some family and for those that were travelling, easy to get to from the M40. What really cinched it was the staff - Megan and Admiral were fantastic. They understood our vision for the day, they provided sound advice, they communicated well and made sure that our day ran smoothly. Every time that we visited to plan our decorating ideas, we were made to feel welcome. They catered for Coeliacs, and other dietary requirements - menus were identical whether or not it was gf. (As a Coeliac myself, this was a huge relief - the other coeliacs were blown away - it's not often that venues will cater for us in this way!)For us, this was the perfect venue. Megan was so easy to work with and nothing was too much trouble for her. We were in regular contact in the lead up to our day and she was really helpful in helping us to plan. The venue itself is brilliant with the courtyard, private patio, main room, function room toilets and bar. Yet it is the hardworking and customer focussed staff that make this wedding venue stand out. - RRosemary B31/12/2022Great atmosphere for a small weddingGreat atmosphere for a small weddingWe chose the venue for its location in the Chilterns and also for the layout of the hotel with indoor and outdoor spaces. Due to personal circumstances we were delayed in the planning of the wedding. Megan was very helpful and was able to accommodate last minute changes. On the day the function room was decorated beautifully. The guests enjoyed relaxing in the courtyard and we were able to set up some outdoor games for the children. The food service was excellent!We chose the venue for its location in the Chilterns and also for the layout of the hotel with indoor and outdoor spaces. Megan has been so helpful, even when it was cancelled twice due to covid the venue were so flexible and understanding. It was excellent value for money and we even had extras added in which was lovely. The wedding day went smoothly from start to finish, every member of staff involved were lovely and made sure everything went well. We had our wedding at the Thame Lambert Hotel on the 30th October 2021 and everything was fantastic right from booking. It was excellent value for money and we even had extras added in which was lovely.
