The Glenlee , a former Victorian merchant barque , was built in Port Glasgow & launched in 1896. Over the century other owners renamed her, and she’s also been “Islamount”, “Clarastella” , & “ Galatea” as a sail training vessel in the Spanish navy. She’s since been lovingly restored, and fitted out as a museum ship since 1993.
This is a wonderful maritime attraction to have moored beside the Clyde, and it’s fabulous that us landlubbers get to explore a proper tall ship, and see how life was for
