With its Art Deco glass dome and stunning views over Harrogate’s Valley Gardens, The Sun Pavilion really does offer a beautiful and completely unique venue for your wedding ceremony and reception.
Built in the 1930s and restored to its original splendour in 1998, this fairy-tale building occupies a tranquil corner of Harrogate’s historic Grade II listed Valley Gardens. With private terraces hidden away amongst ancient trees and lush greenery, The Sun Pavilion Harrogate offers a one of a kind experience in which to raise a glass with friends and family.
We have everything you need for the best day of your life; whether you want a full day, ceremony and reception, or you’re looking for the perfect place to host the celebration of a lifetime after a private ceremony elsewhere, it would be our honour to help. This beautiful, romantic venue has so much to offer; you’re guaranteed a day you’ll never forget.

Our venue hire includes for exclusive use of The Sun Pavilion and surrounding terrace area from 9.00am on the day of the wedding until 11.30pm (with the bar closing at 11.00pm). There is also the option to extend the bar closure time.
Also included are 5’ round tables to seat up to 10 guests and red gilt banqueting chairs but with the option to hire in alternative chairs such as the popular Chiavari Limewash. Venue hire includes white tablecloths and linen napkins, crockery, cutlery and glassware, as well as bar facility for the duration of the reception. All catering is then charged for on top of the venue hire

We had a beautiful outdoor ceremony, and amazing food for the wedding breakfast. The cocktail hour on the terrace and party in the evening were perfect! Meg was brilliant from start to finish, and the process was so easy and well organised throughout. The team at The Sun Pavilion know good food and they know how to throw the perfect wedding! There are also loads of opportunities to personlise your day so it flows exactly as you want. The service on the day was brilliant and Stuart managed the day seamlessly. We'd 100% recommend The Sun Pavilion! We were absolutely over the moon we chose The Sun Pavilion as our wedding venue. We had a beautiful outdoor ceremony, and amazing food for the wedding breakfast. Not just that but everything in the run up to the day. We changed the guest list last minute, asked for sparklers a week before, and vases to decorate the tables. They all bent over backwards to make our dreams possible. I would recommend the Sun Pavilion in a heartbeat.THANK YOU so much to Megan, Claire, Stuart and everyone at the Sun Pavilion for the best day of our lives. We are so grateful to Megan and the team for helping us to throw the most epic party. From our first meeting with Megan we felt fully at ease, she was full of ideas, eager to help and always responsive whenever we had questions. On the day our guests were blown away by how amazing the venue was as well as the terrace and the gardens. So many of our guests came up to us and said how fantastic the food was, the slow cooked beef was incredible! We would recommend the Sun Pavilion to any future bride and groom!! What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Enjoy the planning and don't focus too much on what you think everyone else wants your wedding to be like. Stay true to your own tastes and you can't go far wrong. Don't get too hung up on all the precise timings for the day, things will overrun and things will move but you're the only ones who will know.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
Rather than giving a speech, the Groom wrote and performed a unique song for the Bride, accompanying himself on the guitar (no pressure Grooms!)

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
We're so lucky to be located in the stunning Valley Gardens which has lots of gorgeous photo opportunities. Our favourites are the Japanese garden, the boating lake and the incredible ancient trees and plants.

We know our couples LOVE the mini fish and chips with mushy peas, a real crowd pleaser and makes people smile

This has to be our stained glass dome roof which it's hard not to be impressed by when you're inside The Sun Pavilion.
