The Stone Trough Inn

If you are looking for that extra something for your special day, the Stone Trough Inn is definitely a venue to consider. The idyllic country pub has everything to offer and nothing is too much for the wonderful staff to make your special day perfect for you. We hired the whole pub (closing it to the general public) which allowed our wedding party the use of all the rooms to relax and enjoy our day. Like all married couples would say, our day was perfect. But it really was. From the first enquiry to the day its self, nothing was too much hassle for the staff. They kept in contact regularly in the build up, answered any questions we had, offered ideas and suggestions and set everything up for us on the morning, exactly how we imagined it would be, so we could relax and spend the morning getting ready. The food was incredible. We had a wonderful BBQ and salad/rice sides for our wedding meal with ice creams for desserts and then chip butties later on in the evening. The food was fresh and homemade, there was a fantastic choice for everyone and the staff kept all the food topped up. They catered for everyone, we had diary and gluten allergies, vegetarians and vegans in our wedding party and their food was clear labelled with cute little flags. We had our ceremony in the conservatory on the side, which allows you to have the windows and roof open if the weather is warm. This is a quaint place with a beautiful view of a country side and a perfect place to sit and enjoy the day. The pub and countryside background made for the perfect wedding photos and having Kirkham Abbey a short walk way, is an added bonus. (If you make a small donation to them, they will allow you into the ground to take photos)

We came to The Stone Trough Inn for our friend's birthday yesterday whilst staying up in Yorkshire and I just wanted to say we all thought the food and service was fantastic. Massive compliments to the chef. The food was absolutely to die for and was by far the best we'd had in ages. Also, my friend was very pleased with her bowl of birthday custard... Thank you for having us. I wish we were more local so we could come back sooner! Chloe

A great countryside pub, serving three cask ales from Yorkshire breweries. Friendly, chatty staff and very good food. I had the ploughman's lunch which was excellent. Well worth a visit if you're passing close to Kirkham Abbey.

Very dog friendly, would highly recommend. The food delicious . Vegetarian options: Not fish and chips!! Fried halloumi in batter, yummy, skinny chips and mushy peas .

Lovely pub! Exquisite food, highly recommend the steak and marrow bone pie! 😋 and the staff are lovely and friendly too. We used the camper/caravan app, which allows you use their carpark/facilities for free providing you buy a meal. Be warned, the car park is on a slope so if you're sleeping overnight making sure you have the blocks under your tyres to make it level. It's worth staying for the beautiful views and there is ancient priory ruins 5 mins walk down the road that has a cafe x

Great country pub with good food and even better staff! We will be calling after our shoot days again throughout the winter to enjoy a pint by the fire!
