The Spa Hotel is a wonderful family-run 4 star hotel, set on the edge of Tunbridge Wells in Kent, just a short stroll from the town centre. The charming, beautifully refurbished 18th Century mansion hotel is run in a relaxed, yet efficient manner, with exceptional attention to detail and first-class service. The hotel is nestled within 14 acres of glorious ground and gardens including three picturesque, spring-fed lakes and the stunning Spa Temple. With such spectacular surroundings, The Spa provides the perfect setting for your special day as well as beautiful backdrops for your important wedding photos. Whatever you are planning for your big day – whether it’s a small, intimate affair or a large celebration – we have a fantastic selection of elegant suites available to hold up to 250 guests. The Spa Hotel is licensed to hold civil ceremonies both inside the hotel and outside in The Spa Temple, overlooking the stunning lakes. Even we were surprised by JUST how smoothly everything went at our wedding. We felt so supported from the moment we started speaking to The Spa Hotel right until the day we left after our wedding - they were SO on it and absolutely faultless. Their attention to detail was second to none, they were super flexible on everything, incredibly organised, reliable and responsive. This removed a lot of stress from our part, as we knew we were in such safe hands. Over the days of the wedding itself, the staff were present for us the entire time and they always had a smile, ready to offer solutions and answers. At the same time, they struck a perfect balance of not being too invasive and letting us enjoy our day. When originally looking at venues, we’d been hesitating between The Spa Hotel and venues which were much more ‘do it yourself’, but our decision to go with The Spa Hotel was so validated. They really removed a huge burden from us, and it was so special to have all our guests stay with us at the venue too. It was also really practical for people to get there from London. The hotel even let us have a breakfast event the next morning to spend more time with our guests, and overall I’d say the price was very fair compared to other venues. Last thing to mention is that The Spa Hotel’s wet weather option is really good. As it rained on the day, we ended up doing the ceremony inside so I’m so grateful the room there was so beautiful, even if we’d originally been hoping to do the ceremony outside. In short, if you’re hesitating then go for The Spa Hotel! Would highly recommend. PS. Big shout outs go to Daisy and Adriana, thank you for both being absolutely incredible. From the moment we began planning, the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Despite the tight timeline of just under four months, Emily Phipps, who I believe is any extremely talented Events and Wedding Coordinator worked tirelessly to bring our vision to life. I had so many ideas, most quite unconventional, but Emily welcomed them with open arms and went above and beyond to make it all happen. Emily brought so much warmth, dedication, and joy to the table, and thanks to her, our religious ceremony was nothing short of magical. It’s rare to find genuine and skilful individuals in the wedding industry who can truly capture the essence of your dreams and make them a reality, but Emily did just that! When our initial venue unexpectedly closed, we were feeling disheartened; however, we viewed The Spa Hotel and immediately fell in love with its natural beauty, especially its gorgeous Spa Temple. Our coordinator, Emily, was a star and helped us to plan our day to perfection. She was always on hand to answer any queries we had, and she also helped to set up on the day which was very kind of her! We ideally wanted an outdoor ceremony and the weather really came through for us, so we were able to marry surrounded by flowers! The day was an incredible experience from start to finish. David was our wedding coordinator on the day and he went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly. The team made the process fun and my partner and I were able to enjoy the wedding without any stress or anxiety. All of your communication over the past couple of years, right up until the day was so reassuring so thank you for that. The day of the wedding was so smooth and ran seamlessly. So many of our guests commented on how well the day flowed. Maté was great the evening before when I wanted to change a couple of the tables and he was on hand the whole day for any questions we had. Thank you so much for making our day perfect. The venue was stunning and food amazing! First of all, I would just like to say a massive thank you to all the team that were involved with the planning and putting together of our wedding. It truly was the most magical day, everything I could have hoped for and more. The canapes, wedding breakfast and evening food was delicious and we received nothing but positive feedback from our guests. Our guests couldn’t believe at how beautiful the outside is and I know a few took a walk around the grounds.
