The Shire Hall is a Grade 1 listed building built by Thomas Seckford in 1575. After various guises as a Corn Exchange, Jail, Museum and Magistrates Court, the building is now home to Woodbridge Town Council.
The hall is uniquely located within the centre of Woodbridge, surrounded by traditional buildings, pubs and restaurants, a perfect place for your guests to gather for a celebratory drink before and after the wedding ceremony.
Make your grand entrance up the large stone steps into the tastefully decorated Council Chamber which compliments the historic hall's stunning features. The Council Chamber can seat up to 69 people, including the bridal couple and wedding team of 3 (64 guests in total). We can supply a Bluetooth soundbar and Wi-Fi access is available or why not have a couple of musicians to play your favourite songs. Outside the front of The Shire Hall the property has a cobbled courtyard for your guests to gather before and after, which leads to the grand stone steps and displaying the large black wrought iron stairs curving around the front of the large double doored entrance and features a balcony at the top overlooking the breath-taking view of the beautiful historic town, which is the perfect picturesque place to take those memorable photographs.
At the rear of the building off road parking available for a wedding car for the bridal couple to arrive and depart in and also for any elderly relatives or guests with disabilities for easy access up to 4 cars.
