Looked after us with allergies etc and with a coeliac in our party the chef explained it professionally and advised things we had never even thought off. We stayed in a suite number 22 a beautiful light big room with everything you need. The bed was huge and so comfortable. We are now upgrading our own bed!We wanted a nice overnight stay to relax. We booked this as a place to stay close to a private engagement party. The room was a good size, clean, and very comfortable. Water is provided in bottles, and tea/coffee and biscuits. The bed/pillows were very comfortable. The room had good amenities, soap/shampoo, and nice fluffy towels. Would benefit from a full-length mirror! The breakfast was included in the price and was delicious! Great service made this stay perfect..We had a lovely stay at The Saracen's Head! We booked this as a place to stay close to a private engagement party. The room was a good size, clean, and very comfortable. Water is provided in bottles, and tea/coffee and biscuits. There was a very large party of family and friends staying after the wedding. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I stayed with my daughter, my sister and her family and my daughters mother-in-law and bridesmaids the night before the wedding, we had a very nice meal in the restaurant soon after arriving, the food was very good. Tea, coffee, biscuits and even 2 bottles of water which we needed after long drive in hot weather. The breakfast was very tasty and great selection of hot and cold food. The room was great, and the food was much better than other establishment in this group that we've been to before. Special mention must be given to the really friendly staff, especially the young barman Andrew. It's a long time since I have experienced a member of bar staff who interacts so well with the customers. He's a real asset to your team. Also very impressed with the breakfast service - especially Will. Well done.We really enjoyed our stay at The Saracen's Head. Full of character and in a superb position in Great Dunmow. Service, meals and drinks were first class. Sincere thanks to Simon, Mandy and all the staff who made our stay so enjoyable.
