The Priests House is often called a ‘fairytale’ venue, combining the authentic grade-1 listed 15th-century Chapel with the beauty and tranquillity of the Yorkshire Dales countryside, and we truly value that. Although situated in a magical location, our dedication & drive to deliver outstanding service, keen attention to detail and delicious food is completely real.
We love weddings. We have hosted weddings at The Priests House for over twenty years now - first in the Oak Room and then inside the Chapel after we restored it in 2016. After all these years we still never tire of guests first reaction when they enter the Chapel for the first time, or of being a part of people's joyful memories and important days.
We are proud of how professional and friendly our team are, of the packages that we provide and of our desire to keep improving and offering the best possible venue to host your special day.
When you choose The Priests House as your wedding venue, we promise:
It would be fantastic to meet you, hear about your vision for your day and to show you around The Priests House. Please do get in touch if you would like to book a tour, discuss our venue or ask any questions.
No matter where you choose for your wedding, we wish you the best of wedding days and good luck on this exciting journey that you embark on!
From all of us at The Priests House
All the weddings are the best, in their own individual way, from the really small, intimate ones with just the bride and groom to receptions with a band and dancing.
Relax and enjoy the day. Don't turn it into an art of project management. No one cares if you haven't quite stuck to a predetermined timetable
Groom left the wedding rings....so used Haribo sweets instead!
Historic, spectacular, intimate, exclusive, enchanting
The stairs leading to the Tower, which provides a genuinely historic backdrop.
Quite a few, in particular several weddings with BBC presenters, together with some soap star weddings!
All of them!
Saying goodbye to the lovely and emotional couple having had such a wonderful day.
Its uniqueness. The venue and site is grade 1 listed being part of the curtilage of Barden Tower. It has that genuine historical ambience whilst also having subtle modern improvements.
The personal touch we bring to weddings. Also the refurbishment of the Chapel - taken 12 years to get there but well worth it.
