Despite the difficult current circumstances of the pandemic, your staff provided a flawless service in both the lead up to and during the day of our Wedding on Saturday 5th December 2020. From the outset, we met with your events manager, Terry Filipe-O’Neill, who understood immediately what we needed as clients ahead of our special day. He was professional, personable, considerate and efficient. He allowed us to feel completely at ease and that nothing was ever too much trouble. It was because of Terry’s expert, calm and unwavering professionalism that I felt at ease about the day not being overshadowed by covid restrictions required on the day. I cannot thank him enough for the effort he went to in order to ensure that whilst all rules were followed, all of our requirements were met (and I say that as someone who is experienced in booking events myself and often described as having exceptionally high standards). On the day itself, we were looked after by the Deputy events manager, Uros Turcic. His willingness to ensure that the day went not only smoothly but with the appearance of moving effortless from each stage, was second to none. From allowing us to set up earlier in the day and ensuring everything ran to time, we were well looked after and our guests all commented on how well the day had turned out. My husband in particular wanted to express our thanks for the support provided by Uros who played such a large part in ensuring our wishes were all carried out so faultlessly. In addition, I would like to offer my personal thanks to your food and drinks manager for creating the cocktails specially requested after the ceremony and all of the staff who worked on the day for the attentive yet unobtrusive service they each provided personally to me as well as to my guests. The restaurant staff were also extremely attentive and accommodating the following morning ensuring that from start to finish we all felt very well looked after. We have stayed in 5* hotels all over the world and I would say without hesitation that the service provided by the staff at The Petersham Hotel is the best we have ever experienced. Overall, the flawless service provided by your team meant that our memories of the day will always be extremely happy and in parts quite magical and this is on a personal level for me, very deeply appreciated. My fiancee and I are due to get married tomorrow in Richmond, and we had originally booked the wedding reception at the Petersham Hotel. Richmond Hill is one of our favourite spots and the Petersham Hotel was going to be the perfect place to host a reception, albeit with 13 close family members and a couple of friends. Of course with the news this week that London is entering tier 3, it has meant we are now unable to have the reception at your wonderful hotel. What I really wanted to point out though, is that Nausheen and I have been working with Terence to plan the Wedding reception over the last 2 or so months and he has just really provided us with a truly excellent service during this time. He has impressed us from the start and throughout the process, and has made planning the event seem straight forward, easy and not in anyway stressful. His kind, calm, and accommodating approach has made us feel very confident in the Petersham Hotel and at ease. He has always been quick to respond to our emails or call us back, and whilst I consider that 101 of customer service, its incredible how many other establishments struggle with that so thank you for nailing the basics as that again provided us with confidence in the Petersham Hotel. I consider myself to have quite high service standards, perhaps as a result of working for an American firm over the last 10 years, who pride themselves on being very service orientated and pick up on every detail. Terence really has done an absolutely amazing job with helping to organise making the day special for us and has exceeded our expectations which were already high - it is of course just a shame that we will not be able to fully celebrate at the Petersham in the manner we had originally planned. As the saying goes, whilst you may not always remember exactly what was said, you remember how you people make you feel, and the service that Terence has provided has certainly made us feel very warm and fuzzy and are glad at still being able to stay in your hotel for the next 2 evenings. Finally your cancellation policies have also held the Petersham Hotel in excellent regards and this has also gone some way to also alleviate the stress of the tier 3 restrictions. We will no doubt, be recommending the Petersham to our friends and family and will also ensure it becomes a place we visit and stay when we visit London in future.
