- With our gorgeous spacious gardens and outstanding views across the Stroud Valley’s, there truly is nowhere more relaxing than this! - Here at The Old Lodge, we understand that weddings can be stressful celebrations to organise, so why not let us take the weight off and take care of some of the load. - At our venue, we can handle every aspect of your special day, from decorations to garden games, and music to drinks menus, our dedicated events manager, Jess, will happily work closely with you and your fiancé to make sure that you have a wedding day that is unique to you both. - Our wedding venue has three stunning licensed spaces for ceremonies up to 100 people including an outdoor pagoda, meaning that you can enjoy your entire day in one location. - The Old Lodge can also accommodate you and your guests with bed and breakfast, so you don’t have to worry about how you and your guests will be getting home at the end of the night. - We are proud to be a fully inclusive venue and there's not a lot we won't do to celebrate love!

The venue was perfect on the day, food was brilliant and got so many comments about how lovely it all was. Honor and her team did an amazing job on the day making sure everything ran smoothly and nothing was too much trouble, allowing us to enjoy our big day. We are very grateful to Honor and the team for supporting us to achieve our dream wedding, simplistic quality in beautiful surroundings with our nearest and dearest. We set the date and planned our wedding in 7 weeks with Honors’ support, we were married outside in the grounds and had our wedding breakfast in the conservatory restaurant. We would not hesitate to recommend The Old Lodge to anyone, whether for their wedding, a meal or an overnight stay. Our guests are still talking about what a personal wedding it was and how fabulous the food and staff were. Food excellent, disco and atmosphere remarkable a hard working team. Honor our wedding co-ordinator was simply the best, we started planning a year ago and was upset to be told Ryan was leaving BUT we were more than happy to have Honor to takeover, nothing was too much trouble even the most stupid questions we asked were answered professionally and she deserves to do well in the future. Mark the DJ played what we requested and soon had the dance floor packed. It was just perfect and everything we had dreamed of. The rooms are lovely - a couple a little basic but then they are the smaller, cheaper rooms. My bridal room was just beautiful. The staff there all seemed so relaxed when we arrived that I worried that the wedding day wouldn't run well, however that was just untrue. From the second we woke they couldn't do enough to help! Ellie one of the fantastic waitresses/bar staff brought breakfast to my room and helped my son (8) who wanted to go down and have breakfast all by himself. She also helped us with a few other little things an couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. She kindly took breakfast in bed to my son and daughter in their own room, tired the day after the wedding. Manu - The restaurant manager who did our music was amazing and of a lovely calm and helpful nature -he also helped again with my son who has special needs and helped with my many requests with different food etc without anything seeming too much trouble! Honor - The fantastic wedding coordinator - cool as a cucumber but had everything under control and nothing was too much to ask. The day ran like clockwork and not a thing went wrong or wasn't what I expected which is the sign of fantastic staff and a wonderful venue full of good hardworking people. All of our guests were just gobsmacked at this beautiful venue in such a stunning setting and thought it was the best place ever for a wedding! Thanks to the chef who did a wonderful job, guests kept telling me how much they loved the BBQ food and how the lemon cheesecakes and chocolate brownies were the best they'd ever had! I can't ever thank Honor and all The Team at The Old Lodge enough for giving Charlie and I and my children a perfect wedding day. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
We had a wedding where the couple wanted a completely chilled vibe with people free to eat what they wanted so we created charcuterie rivers as their centre pieces and had a band playing throughout the day, the groom's band then played in the evening and everyone was extremely happy, chilled and full of cheese!
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Your wedding day is about YOU so make sure you are happy with the decisions you are making and you're not making them just to make everyone else happy! Politics has no place at an Old Lodge wedding!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We always love to see cakes with a special touch, that really show off the personality of the couple such as a cake topper of the couple and their dog, or a cake in the shape of your beloved car.

On Minchinhampton common, overlooking the valleys, especially at sunset - golden hour is factored into our planning of the day!

Homemade vegetable samosas with curried mayonnaise

Our dessert chef's brownies!

Our views, positioned right in the middle of Minchinhampton Common and on the top of a hill, there is nothing quite like it

We will always strive to do what is best and right for every one of our couples, it means no two weddings are ever the same and each couple who gets married here will have an experience completely bespoke to them.
