Your are in good hands with our team who are here from the initial planning stages and will assist you every step of the way, through to your big day. Our Event Management team will ensure your day runs smoothly and will create great lasting memories for you and your guests. THE VENUE..... The beautiful Laker Suite is adjacent to the Laker Foyer and Laker Lounge area which are all available for private use for your big day, and are all included in our packages. You can host up to 96 guests for a sit down meal and up to 175 guests for your evening celebrations with your own private function bar. PHOTO OPPOTUNITIES.... Photographs of your wedding day are so important and there are plenty of opportunities to capture all of them at The Laker Suite. Our sweeping glass staircase is a popular choice for couple and group photos. ACCOMODATION Preferential rates are given to all wedding couples and an easy booking system is in place to take the stress and pressure away from the Bride and Groom. WEDDING PACKAGES.... A package is the best way to book your wedding, often with little extras added in and creates a great starting point for your wedding day itinerary. Remember that all packages can be added to for extra guests both during the day and night time celebrations, ensuring your wedding is full of your dearest family and friends. WEDDING MENUS.... When it comes to food our Chef's demonstrate a passion and excitement for delivering the best in taste and quality. No matter what package you have chosen rest assured that all food is prepared onsite and designed with you in mind. The addition of canapes and buffets can really add to the magic of your Wedding day.

I have worked here for over 10 years planning all weddings and events, I use this experience to help advise all couples looking for their dream venue. I love my role it is very rewarding, seeing all the planning come together on the day and exceeding all expectations. There are many photographic opportunities, the sweeping glass stair case which is very "unique”, the beautiful balcony shots that take in all the greenery from the countryside and the sunsets are just beautiful.

We offer 3 different perfect packages for your day. Twilight Package starting at £1,950 Classic Package £5,175 Ultimate Package £7,900 *Twilight package includes up to 50 guests, whilst Classic and Ultimate packages include up to 50 guests for the daytime and 80 guests for the evening, you are welcome to add additional guests at a cost per head. Prices are based on 2026 rates.

We had our wedding at Holiday Inn Southend and it was absolutely beautiful. From booking the wedding a year before to the day of our wedding everything was so smooth, the rooms are beautiful- we had a lovely room with the airport view, the food was absolutely amazing we had so many compliments on the food (canapés, wedding breakfast and evening buffet ) the staff were so friendly and welcoming, the ceremony room and reception room was beautiful and Zsuzanna was amazing, the whole day from start to finish was everything we asked for and more and when we got back up to the room it was decorated beautifully with some lovely personalised mugs and a beautiful handmade card, Hayley our wedding planner is so so lovely and actually what sold us booking our wedding there, she is the friendliest person ever and we couldn’t have asked for any better. As a regular and local supplier to the Laker Suite I can testament what a wonderful gem of a venue this is to marry in. The Laker Suite has such versatility and has a real cosy and romantic feel when dressed and lit for a wedding. The team here are amazingly flexible too in their approach and really do bend over backwards to accommodate their couples and to make sure they have a day to remember. Great wedding venue, nothing is too much trouble for Hayley & the team who always look after their clients & suppliers to a very high standard. I have seen the Laker Suite dressed in various designs and it always looks beautiful, with real attention to detail plus the bonus of impressive photo opportunities to be had on the glass staircase & around the hotel. If you are looking for an excellent wedding venue with a reasonable price tag, I would highly recommend the Laker Suite. Great wedding venue, nothing is too much trouble for Hayley & the team who always look after their clients & suppliers to a very high standard. I have seen the Laker Suite dressed in various designs and it always looks beautiful, with real attention to detail plus the bonus of impressive photo opportunities to be had on the glass staircase & around the hotel. Absolutely awesome venue!! Absolutely awesome venue!!
From the get go we knew Holiday Inn was going to be our venue of choice. We attended a wedding fair back in 2019 and was immediately wowed by the space and modern environment that the Holiday Inn had to offer. The laker suite and ground floor is filled with natural light and modern finishes from the bar area right through to the laker suite. We had arranged separately via one of the suppliers at the wedding fair to have the laker suite draped and the room was absolutely stunning! The size of the venue was perfect for our wedding. The food provided throughout the day was absolutely amazing and is testament to the quality the Holiday Inn set out to achieve for us. The staff were absolutely amazing, a massive thank you to Hayley who has held our hands throughout the entire process, talked us through absolutely everything and shared her knowledge with us. We both feel that Hayley has really gone above and beyond to make the experience to be as good as it was. Sue on the day also deserves a huge round of applause and a huge thank you from us. Sue was always available and on hand to ensure the day run smoothly with no hiccups. We came to a wedding at the hotel yesterday and just want to say how perfect it was. The Staff could not do enough for you and food excellent both dinner and buffet. This has definitely made us want to come and visit restaurant for a meal. The staff of the Holiday Inn are first class!! Our wedding plans were tailored just for us, and we can’t speak highly enough of each and every one of them. The food was amazing the buffet was incredible, all our guests have said what a great wedding it was , the DJ was very good , and the room was decorated for our wedding night with even a personalised bottle of Prosecco, what a beautiful touch! Well done everyone at Holiday Inn! I would recommend your special day to be held here, you will not find better!! The staff of the Holiday Inn are first class!! Holiday inn Southend made everything stress free. couldn’t thank the wedding team enough they was their every step of the way and was very professional. We had are whole day at the venue, the running of the day ran smooth from transforming wedding ceremony to breakfast room to evening party the whole set up was brilliant. Everything was personalised and catered for are day, wedding breakfast and buffet was of a very high standard not one item of food was left, their was a large bar area that was well stocked. Are day could not have gone any better with thanks to the amazing wedding team at the holiday inn Southend. From start to finish are wedding day was perfect.
