Picture a magnificent country house in the Cotswold countryside and you will see The Hare and Hounds Hotel located in the enviable location in Westonbirt, near Tetbury.
Built in honey-coloured Cotswold stone, the Hare and Hounds Hotel boasts a beautiful garden setting, which creates the perfect backdrop to your big day. Whether you're planning a traditional big white wedding, an intimate occasion or even something a little different, we can accommodate your needs, with four areas of the hotel licensed for civil ceremonies and 42 stylish bedrooms available at a discounted rate for your wedding guests to stay over, and no need for carriages at midnight!
One part of the hotel is exclusively yours, including a private bar with a designated entrance for your evening guests to arrive, and direct access to a substantial amount of the garden and decking space reserved for you! Our outside bar “Hare of the Dog” also adds to the guest experience.
With four stylish rooms and acres of gardens, our dedicated wedding coordinator will be delighted in working with you to plan your perfect wedding day, from the ceremony to the evening reception and guest accommodation.

The staff were fantastic - so professional, polite and accommodating; everyone said how impressed they were with them. The food and wine was brilliant, as was the service. The team went above and beyond for us, putting lots of thought into small details. We used the library for photographs as it rained all day, which created a great backdrop to our photos with the leather chairs, Victorian windows and book-lined walls. A lot of guests stayed at the hotel overnight and all commented on how lovely their rooms were. It was great to have breakfast altogether with our guests the next day before leaving. Eliza was so kind and was just brilliant. Thanks to the the lovely bar staff and not forgetting the waiting staff, who seamlessly waited on us. They really did do a great job and a top silver service from them. You all went above and beyond. The food was excellent and the drinks flowed. Thank you for making the dining room, look so elegant and adding the extra touches of the flowers on the dining table. Thank you once again for all your hard work in making Patricia & Colin's day so special and a very memorable day which we will all hold in our hearts. A true love story.... They were simply wonderful from planning wedding to the end of our wonderful stay . They were excited for us and made us feel like we were the only people to ever to have got married ! We had a themed Peaky blinder style wedding and we were able to dress the rooms accordingly . Hare and hounds will always be a special place for us . Eliza was magnificent with her planning and at no point did I feel stressed or anxious about anything, she guided us through every step in 5 months ! Who says weddings are stressful ! I enjoyed every minute of the planning and build up . Thanks again to a star team ! We couldn’t praise the team at Hare and hounds enough ! They were simply wonderful from planning wedding to the end of our wonderful stay . They were excited for us and made us feel like we were the only people to ever to have got married ! A perfect wedding venue!We got married at The Bay Tree Hotel in August and had the best wedding day - Laura and the team were so attentive, friendly, helpful and organised, and really went above and beyond in every respect. Our guests all commented on the lovely, relaxed venue, the delicious food and the wonderful location in beautiful Burford. It was also really special that so many of our guests could stay overnight at the venue, and the hotel itself is a really lovely place to stay. We felt very well looked after and absolutely loved our time there. The venue was perfect - relaxed, beautiful, numerous rooms and space to allow for an amazing wedding regardless of the weather. We were lucky enough that we had amazing weather (hot with just 20 minutes of rain). The ceremony took place in the summer house and was just so beautiful with the help of the florist to make it even more perfect. We have had so many compliments on the venue / food / rooms for those that stayed. I would happily choose the get married all over again at the Bay Tree. We could not put into words how much we’d recommend the venue. Abby and her team were fantastic, so professional and knowledgeable as we didn’t have a clue about half of the details that were required. On the day they set up the venue quickly and told us to relax making us feel like spare parts (stress free and happy spare parts).
