The Hare & Hounds Hotel

We had such a wonderful wedding in April at the Hare and Hounds Hotel in Gloucestershire. The staff were fantastic - so professional, polite and accommodating; everyone said how impressed they were with them. The food and wine was brilliant, as was the service. The team went above and beyond for us, putting lots of thought into small details. We used the library for photographs as it rained all day, which created a great backdrop to our photos with the leather chairs, Victorian windows and book-lined walls. A lot of guests stayed at the hotel overnight and all commented on how lovely their rooms were. It was great to have breakfast altogether with our guests the next day before leaving. We would definitely recommend this as a venue for future events.

A true love story.... After 43 years together my mother and her partner finally tied the knot. Eliza was professional and attentive. Eliza was so kind and was just brilliant. Thanks to the the lovely bar staff and not forgetting the waiting staff, who seamlessly waited on us. They really did do a great job and a top silver service from them. You all went above and beyond. The food was excellent and the drinks flowed. Thank you for making the dining room, look so elegant and adding the extra touches of the flowers on the dining table. Thank you once again for all your hard work in making Patricia & Colin's day so special and a very memorable day which we will all hold in our hearts.

The Hare & Hounds was the perfect venue for our wedding. We couldn't have chosen a better place to celebrate our special day! From the very beginning, everyone was so attentive and helpful. The day was faultless. So many of our guests commented on the high quality of food and service. We felt extremely well looked after from start to finish and can't thank the staff enough for everything they did. The Hare & Hounds will always hold a special place in our hearts. X

We couldn’t praise the team at Hare and hounds enough ! They were simply wonderful from planning wedding to the end of our wonderful stay . They were excited for us and made us feel like we were the only people to ever to have got married ! We had a themed Peaky blinder style wedding and we were able to dress the rooms accordingly . Hare and hounds will always be a special place for us . Eliza was magnificent with her planning and at no point did I feel stressed or anxious about anything, she guided us through every step in 5 months ! Who says weddings are stressful ! I enjoyed every minute of the planning and build up . Thanks again to a star team !

We wanted to write to thank you all so much for everything you did to make our wedding on the 1st June so special and perfect. We had the most wonderful day and we really appreciate all your hard work to help this happen. Every Member of staff we met during our stay was so attentive and kind and did everything they could to make sure the day was perfect for us and our guests. We got married at The Bay Tree Hotel in August and had the best wedding day - Laura and the team were so attentive, friendly, helpful and organised, and really went above and beyond in every respect. Our guests all commented on the lovely, relaxed venue, the delicious food and the wonderful location in beautiful Burford. It was also really special that so many of our guests could stay overnight at the venue, and the hotel itself is a really lovely place to stay. We felt very well looked after and absolutely loved our time there.

We chose the Bay Tree after looking in the Cotswolds for a while. The venue was perfect - relaxed, beautiful, numerous rooms and space to allow for an amazing wedding regardless of the weather. We were lucky enough that we had amazing weather (hot with just 20 minutes of rain). The ceremony took place in the summer house and was just so beautiful with the help of the florist to make it even more perfect. We have had so many compliments on the venue / food / rooms for those that stayed. I would happily choose the get married all over again at the Bay Tree. We could not put into words how much we’d recommend the venue. Abby and her team were fantastic, so professional and knowledgeable as we didn’t have a clue about half of the details that were required. On the day they set up the venue quickly and told us to relax making us feel like spare parts (stress free and happy spare parts). From starting the process to being married it was just perfect and we couldn’t thank them enough

We can’t thank the staff at the Hare and Hounds enough for everything they did for our wedding day. From the moment we made contact they were bending over backwards to accommodate our every wish. Nothing was too much trouble and they went the extra mile, often thinking of things that we hadn’t considered. Most of our guests commented on how amazing the food was and how brilliant the staff were on the day. We were all made to feel very at home which gave the wedding a very personal feel. The staff made the day stress-free for us so we were able to really enjoy the day with our friends and family. Would highly recommend this beautiful venue for anyone considering getting married.
