From tying the knot in the bay of the Banqueting Hall surrounded by oil paintings, or saying your vows in front of the magistrate’s chair in our 19th century court room, it’s sure to be the perfect setting for your big day.
But why let the celebrations at the Guildhall stop once you’re married? Our rooms are perfect for wedding receptions with spaces made for dining and dancing.
Picture your guests dancing into the night under lead crystal chandeliers, toasting to your marriage in the marble foyer by the red carpet staircase, or enjoying a lovely meal in the suitably named Banqueting Hall – we have it all!
Our wedding packages below provide great value when hiring the building which gives you the time you need to make sure every finishing touch is perfect.
However, anything is possible and our team can assist with single room hires and bespoke packages, as well as helping take the stress out of organising with catering, bar, entertainment, and layout advice - Just get in touch and see what we can do!

Stunning paintings on the wall, a really classy feel to the whole place. I do fairs and markets here and it works brilliantly - the tourists love it and families find it inviting and welcoming. The Guildhall was a wonderful venue to use and provided just the right setting for the ceremony and the reception. The turn around between the two events was completed so efficiently and people were surprised to be ushered back in so soon! We really appreciated your calm, professional approach and your kindness too. I certainly did need the cup of tea that you brought me! Your help and support, right from the start, made such a difference and allowed us to feel confident about our plans. The Guildhall was a wonderful venue to use and provided just the right setting for the ceremony and the reception.
