Situated in the charming village of Stanton Fitzwarren on the edge of the Cotswolds, Stanton House Hotel is a classic country manor house with a contemporary twist. Surrounded by beautiful gardens designed by Gertrude Jekyll in the 18th century and overlooking Stanton Lake and Park, we offer a peace and tranquillity that is craved for today’s world, whilst offering all of the comforts that you would expect in a AA 4* hotel. The original manor house has been respectfully decorated and sympathetically extended to ensure that the character, look and atmosphere are in keeping with the surrounding area. Stanton House Hotel and its grounds provide the most stunning setting for such an important occasion as a wedding. Everything is arranged to suit the requirements of the couple and their guests. Stanton House Hotel enjoys an excellent reputation as a superb venue at which to hold a wedding reception, civil marriage ceremony or civil partnership ceremony. We have a choice of rooms which are licensed to hold civil ceremonies, whilst blessings are available in our Country House Gazebo located in our landscaped gardens overlooking Stanton Lake. The gardens and the buildings are a magnificent backdrop for wedding photos. The Rosemary Restaurant seats up to 80 guests. A wide choice of food and drinks are available for you to choose from and we are happy to discuss any special requirements. The Lilac room is perfect for the evening entertainment with ample room for a dance floor, DJ or band. Up to 120 guests. As part of your initial enquiry we are happy to show you around the hotel and our stunning grounds, talk you through our packages, and explain how your day will unveil and. We will meet with you regularly in the months leading up to your big day and we’ll always be available should you need some much needed advice. On the big day itself we will be there, on hand, during your day making sure that you are having the best day of your lives.

The happiest day of our livesThe happiest day of our lives
My Husband and I got married in September 2025 and had our wedding breakfast and reception at Stanton. From booking our big day 18 months ago, Vicky provided exceptional service with planning and sorting everything for our day. The day itself was everything we had dreamed of, it was quite simply the best day of our lives. The setting itself at Stanton House Hotel is idilic, especially on a sunny autumnal afternoon! The food was outstanding for our wedding breakfast and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Everybody was friendly, attentive and the service was excellent. Chris, our toastmaster for the day, provided an excellent service throughout the day from the moment we arrived until a few songs after our first dance. We had a DJ/Disco in the evening which got everyone dancing! We also had a hog roast in the evening which was fantastic too. Quite simply, the best day of our lives which we didn't want to end! I would highly recommend to anyone considering of having their wedding at Stanton to go for it as you won't be disappointed. We hope to be back for further functions in the future. From start to finish Stanton House Hotel team were incredible. Couldn’t do enough for me even when things needed to adapt and change they were always there to help me and navigate the process. I felt so relaxed as they had absolutely everything under control and really helped with all the planning and excitement. When the day came it went perfectly and smoothly and I couldn’t fault them at all with anything. I had my dream wedding come true and had the most amazing special day. I felt like royalty when I arrived and honestly couldn’t thank every single member enough. Vikki went above and beyond and I really felt like she was my friend through this entire process. I am so thankful and overwhelmed with gratitude to Stanton House for honestly giving me the wedding of my dreams. From start to finish Stanton House Hotel team were incredible. We recently had our wedding at Stanton House Hotel, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue or team to help us celebrate such a special day. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. What made it even more special was that we originally had our wedding booked elsewhere, but just months before the big day, unforeseen issues with that venue left us uncertain if our wedding would go ahead at all. It was an incredibly stressful time — but from the moment we contacted Stanton House, their team completely turned everything around for us. Vikki, the Events Manager, was an absolute superstar. Her calm, organised, and supportive approach immediately put us at ease. She made what could have been a disaster feel like a blessing in disguise. Vikki took care of every detail and ensured we still had the wedding we had dreamed of — if not better. Kumar, the General Manager, was equally incredible. He made us feel so welcome and supported, and it was clear that he genuinely cared about making the day perfect. Together, Vikki and Kumar went above and beyond, and we’ll never forget their kindness, professionalism, and commitment to getting everything right. From the table layout to the beautiful flowers; nothing was too much trouble for all Stanton staff in making sure the event ran smoothly for us and for the guests. We have also had lovely feedback from guests saying how great the venue and food was and how much they enjoyed themselves.
