Beautiful Ceremony and Reception Options

The Garden Barn is licensed for civil ceremonies, giving you the choice to exchange vows inside the charming barn or outdoors in the oak-framed Pavilion overlooking a peaceful pond. If you prefer a traditional church wedding, a historic Grade I listed Saxon church is just a short distance away. The barn comfortably seats up to 100 guests for a formal meal and can host up to 140 for a more relaxed reception. For larger celebrations, you can add a marquee next to the barn to accommodate more friends and family.

With us you have the ability to make your wedding your way! Choose the caterer of your choice and design everything bespoke. The price includes access to the barn the day before your wedding so you can set it up how you like. The wedding day itself and until midday the following day so you can pick up all your bits and pieces. It also includes the use of our tables and chairs. Prices vary depending on use of accommodation and season and year.

Perfect day, Perfect Wedding!Perfect day, Perfect Wedding!
We had our ceremony and reception at the Garden Barn on June 29th 2019 and everything went perfectly! We planned the day from overseas so only got to meet with Emily, the owner, once before the wedding but she was so flexible for us and responded very quickly to all of our emails. Her presence the day before the wedding and on the morning of was welcome and she was so helpful; answering all of our questions and ensuring we had everything we needed. We also rented the cottage on the property for the Bridal party to get ready and Emily generously stocked it with food and drinks! The cottage is very cute with 2 double bedrooms and a spacious living area; perfect for doing hair and make-up in the morning. We also got to stay there the night of the wedding which was ideal. We cannot fault the venue at all; the barn is beautiful, the gardens are spacious and contain lots of garden furniture for guests to use and Emily's organisation was fantastic. We got married at The Garden Barn in early August 2015 and I cannot imagine a more perfect place for a wedding. Emily, who owns the barn was unbelievably helpful right from the very start and was always on hand to answer any questions. The barn itself is beautifully maintained and stunning both inside and out, the grounds are lush and is the perfect setting, particularly for our summer wedding - although, it is just as gorgeous in winter months! We also stayed at the cottage at the end of the driveway which I wish was my own home, lovely furnishings and Emily left lots of little special touches to make our stay even more wonderful. If you're looking for a venue where you can do your own thing and design your wedding without any harsh restrictions (like many places we visited) then TGB is nothing short of perfection. We had our ceremony and reception at The Garden Barn and it was spectacular. As soon as we met with Emily we were immediately sold. It is a gorgeous venue, Emily is wonderfully helpful and it is ideal for those who want flexibility in their approach to their wedding. Caterers, bar, entertainment etc. is the couple's choice. We used several of the recommended suppliers (although absolutely not required by the venue) and were really happy with them. Emily is keen to make sure couples can have the wedding they want whilst making sure the venue is protected for future weddings. We were able to have the venue the day before and after our wedding to give us ample time to set up/pack away which allowed us to personalise the venue just as much as we wanted. Thanks to the beautiful weather we were able to have our ceremony in the outside area, it was absolutely perfect for us. It was really simple and just what we wanted. Emily co-ordinated this and made sure it ran smoothly and without any hassle for us. The fountains were a lovely touch and the portable PA system meant we could personalise the ceremony with our own music etc. Our reception was between the barn and a smallish marquee attached to the side - we also made the most of the beautiful gardens as we had such lovely weather. We hired the Lodge Cottage for the weekend for some of our guests and this too was absolutely stunning - the little touches and added extras made sure the stay was exceptional. We stayed at the cottage lodge next to the Garden Barn. It is absolutely beautiful and so relaxing. The scenery is outstanding. The host Emily is so helpful and such a lovely person. Absolutely amazing venue which was everything we wanted for our wedding day. It couldn't have been more perfect. Very much recommend for any special occasion. Very beautiful gardens and lovely wooden beamed barn. Emily, the owner, was absolutely fantastic and allowed us to decorate as we wanted in the barn. Very helpful and accommodating in all aspects of planning our reception. A hidden gem in the heart of the Suffolk countryside.Absolutely amazing venue which was everything we wanted for our wedding day. It couldn't have been more perfect. We hired The Garden Barn for our lovely winter wedding just a few weeks ago. We were unbelievably happy with all that Emily ( the owner) could offer us and she was extremely accommodating and open to all our ideas we had for our special day. She was very helpful recommending different suppliers and was a great support throughout the whole planning process. We really felt like she cared about what mattered to us. The barn itself is beautiful and very well cared for, Emily's attention to detail is impeccable! The gardens were beautifully maintained and the barn was regularly being checked throughout our wedding day to ensure it was clean and all supplies were refreshed.
