The grounds are beautiful and we were made to feel welcome by every member of staff. Even though we eloped, everyone working at the estate were going the extra mile and got involved with it, which made it extra special. T

We have many happy memories at The Coniston hotel. We spent our engagement day here and then decided two years later to hold our wedding there. The best decision we have made, the whole day was perfect, the venue looked stunning. The food and drink was outstanding, staff were friendly and courteous. We couldn’t have asked for a better day (well apart from less rain!) but even with the rain we were still smiling.

We can’t believe this time last week we were getting ready to for our big day. From the pre wedding dinner the night before to our last dance on our wedding day everything ran so smoothly, the venue looked incredible and the staff were beyond helpful, please pass on our Thank you’s. Firstly, I would like to start by thanking you for all your support leading up to our big day. Planning a wedding during a pandemic was not the easiest however the support and professionalism from you was everything we needed to get through. The Coniston was such a perfect setting for our wedding. We chose not to look at another venue because after the first visit we completely fell in love with hotel and the stunning surroundings. Then the day, just wow! It was everything we dreamed of and so much more. You brought all my ideas to life and it really was the day I dreamt of. By the end of the day, you and all the staff felt like a part of the day, even joining us on the dance floor towards the end of the evening! It just would not have been the same without you all.

Please accept our apologies for this taking so long to do! Since March a lot has happened. Chris's health took a tumble after the wedding, he ended up being hospitalised for a few days which was a really scary, our lives were turned upside down. A lot has had to change since our day, however things are looking up again now and we are enjoying married life. We just wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you to you for making our day the absolute best, without you it wouldn't of happened the way it did. We all had such an amazing day, we are still looking back on the day today. We've had the pictures back and they are just incredible. Honestly you did such a great job, keeping us both calm from the minute we booked our special day with you. Right up to until we said "I do"! Thank you again for everything you and the Coniston family, did for us and our families to make them feel so welcome at the wedding. Praises, were said all round everyone absolutely loved the day and were amazed by the beautiful view over Coniston. Could you please pass our thanks onto all that worked on 12th of March. We will be back for a stay and a lovely meal with you guys soon for sure! Thank you again Sharon, you are the best and please never forget it.

Myself and new husband finally married on 25th August 2022 at the The Coniston Hotel Country Estate & Spa after 18 years together. We found the venue within days of starting to look and booked immediately without hesitation. The hotel is beautiful inside and out with warm welcoming staff and grounds that absolutely blow you away, an absolutely stunning backdrop for a wedding. Sharon [and Emily] guided us the planning of our wedding in the 20 months leading up, always at the end of the phone or email even on her days off. She assured us she had everything in hand and to enjoy our day and from the moment she came to see us on the morning until she left she did just that. We had a beautiful stress free day, far surpassing our expectations and Sharon and all the staff we dealt with on that day - Danny and AnneMarie on the evening - are to be credited for us being able to do that. The spaces we used were lovely, the food was delicious, enjoyed and commented on by all of our guests and we couldn’t fault our beautiful day and the days either side that we stayed and ate at the hotel. It was a pleasure to get married there and we look forward to many future occasions we get to visit. Mr & Mrs Hardcastle 🖤

Thank you for making our day so special, covid didn’t make wedding planning easy, having postponed from 2020 till 2021 and then with the worry of a potential lockdown on the run up to our new wedding date, it seemed the fun of having a wedding was taken away with the worry that it may not happen, the reality of getting married didn’t hit till I got to church! You and the team at Coniston are truly amazing and our day was perfect, the Bannister suite looked fantastic, it was brilliant that all the children had room to play and felt so at home, our guest all had a great time and it was incredible to have us altogether at last I’ve attached a few photos that guest took, We are looking forward to visiting very soon! Just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your support for our big day last November. We feel incredibly lucky to have had such amazing support through all the rearranging, guest booking changes, last minute Covid rule panic and to finally have had the most perfect day. Even the rain didn't stop us from exploring the beautiful scenery! We couldn't fault a single thing. Your entire team ensured everything flowed smoothly, from the pre-wedding meal to the last dance on our wedding night. As we'd planned the day so meticulously, I was so glad your team were on hand to take the stress away. The food was exceptional and the lady who parcelled a pork sandwich up for Matt and I in the evening - I'm so grateful! We probably would have been in a tangle the next day without it. It really was a day to remember and so extra special after the two years that passed before. We look forward to coming back to reminisce for years to come.
