The Comb is a beautiful estate surrounded on all sides by stunning Northumberland wilderness. Featuring panoramic countryside views of the national park and Kielder Forest, you can exchange vows in a variety of locations in our gorgeous grounds. Set in the heart of Europe's largest dark skies park, take your pick of locations for unforgettable photo opportunities. Our rustic wedding barn has a fully licensed bar, dance floor, staging area and all the necessary facilities. The barn can sit up to 150 for dining or 250 standing guests at a reception. We only undertake a finite number of weddings per year meaning your special day is unique, bespoke and not in a long conveyor belt of back to back weddings. You select the catering to your taste and budget and our bar manager will work out a drinks solution that works for you. Weddings are relaxed and include exclusive hire of The Comb Lodge and immediate grounds for 2 nights plus the wedding barn for your wedding. A gathering the night before the big day is popular for a BBQ or a relaxed few drinks in the bar and lounge of The Comb Lodge. Additional accommodation is also available in The Comb Farmhouse and The Comb Cottage.

- Price includes exclusive use of The Comb Lodge and immediate grounds plus wedding barn and access to the wider estate for 2 nights. - The Comb Lodge sleeps 20 with 10 bedrooms all en-suite plus a large bar/lounge, dining room, country kitchen, TV/Games room, bar terrace, dark skies balcony and courtyard.
- The barn comes with tables, chairs, table cloths, cutlery and crockery for 100 with option to hire for larger numbers.
- Fully licensed for weddings with a licensed bar. Staffing for the bar and logistics on the wedding day included. There is a requirement to hire all the accommodation on the estate which is not included in the above prices. This is usually met by passing on the cost to wedding guests using The Comb Farmhouse and The Comb Cottage.

- MMark & Karen Carpenter27/06/2022Perfect venue for relaxed weddingPerfect venue for relaxed weddingWe had the best of both worlds with the most perfect, intimate elopement at The Comb in July 2020, as well as having a beautiful wedding weekend with our friends and family again at The Comb in August 2021. We loved The Comb from the first time we visited, with its fantastic views of the rustic Northumberland countryside, and the house and barn were perfect for our needs. Although the Barn and grounds needed very little decor, we loved that we could bring in our own suppliers so we could add little touches to personalise it to us. The Comb is perfect if you’re after a relaxed and personal wedding with your friends and family, no matter the size and regardless of if you have an indoor or outdoor ceremony. It has everything you need on site from accommodation to dancefloor, and the best thing for us was that we were able to have our little pooch with us the whole weekend. All the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly from start to finish and both in the run up to the wedding and on the day. Pat, Johnny, Neil and Jess were all amazing and answered our million questions in the run up to the weekend. Neil was available on the Friday to help us set up and again on the Sunday to help us pack away, which was hugely appreciated. Huge thank you to everyone at The Comb for making both our weddings perfect in every way and for putting so much thought and effort into every aspect of the venue so that everyone can enjoy it. - SStuart27/06/2022Well beyond the call of dutyWell beyond the call of dutyThe wedding of my daughter was last weekend (10th August) the weather was atrocious, Pat, Sarah and staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble, Pat rounded up the locals to get as many guests to the venue as possible, Sarah was giving alternative directions, staff were being so supportive. Due to all their efforts what could have been a disaster turned out to be a brilliant day. The venue is superb with everything you need plus more. No public, no conveyor belt of weddings, just us, perfect! The sun came out allowing us to have our service on the field, the Northumberland countryside providing a backdrop that was second to none. There was so much outdoor space to enjoy and the barn was perfect for the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations. In addition to this, but just as important, Johnny, Neil, Jess and all the team were absolutely fantastic. They worked with us every step of the way to create our perfect day. We would happily recommend The Comb to anyone.We hired the Comb for a weekend so our family and friends could enjoy the accommodation on the Friday night before our wedding on the Saturday. The venue was absolutely perfect. The accommodation was spot on, rooms were lovely & clean, kitchen and dining areas had plenty of room to store everything we needed and to cater for all guests staying with us. We had our ceremony outside and it was beautiful, the backdrop was stunning. The barn for the reception needed very little doing to it, but it was great that we could add our own touches to personalise our wedding. We loved that we could bring in our own caterers and appreciated the flexibility of using The Comb to supply some of the toast and table drinks whilst we paid corkage for some more specific drinks we wanted. From start to finish Pat, Johnny, and especially Neil and Jess have been quick to answer the 1001 questions we had and put us at ease about the day. Neil and Jess were amazing and so helpful. The day before Neil helped us to set up and on the day was invaluable at keeping us right and helping us out with just about everything. Jess was a star behind the bar and made sure everything ran smoothly there. It was the perfect weekend and perfect wedding in a laid back, rustic and gorgeous setting.
