Le Petit Chateau is a stately home and venue in Otterburn, Northumberland, that hosts weddings and other milestone events. This fixture in the idyllic Northumbrian countryside makes a truly impressive setting for any gathering. This venue's staff specialises in providing the tastefully traditional. However, they are also famous for delivering daringly different. We offer Affordable Luxury for every season.
Facilities and Capacity:
Le Petit Chateau features several attractive options to hold a celebration or ceremony. Combining romance with fantasy, the beautiful Belle Époque chapel is complete with a grand marble fireplace. The Ballroom brings the outdoors in with floor to ceiling sliding glass doors that open straight onto the Mediterranean Gardens. On-site accommodation includes 30 ensuite boutique bedrooms, many with roll-top baths, garden views, four-poster beds and rooftop terraces. All this is available to hire for your special day that will promise to be full of French style.

Lauren Meays has supported our journey and has been very responsive to every email. Detail to plans was exceptional which was executed well on the day by all staff and Tia. All guests commented on the venue and the services, the rooms were beautiful and the day flowed perfectly and was exactly what we wanted.We have been absolutely thrilled with our wedding at LPC. The venue was amazing throughout the whole process - from the open events viewing the venue, booking, regular check ins from our coordinator, the tasting evening and the run up to the big day. The venue is beautiful and a piece of the Mediterranean in Northumberland. We had lots of guests say that it was the best wedding that they had ever been to. The shabby chique decoration, remote location, well manicured gardens and the water fountain which sets on fire just added to the magic. If we could get married all over again we would do it at Le Petit Chateau again in a heart beat. We had the best day ever getting married at Le Petit Chateau. But from start to finish the staff at Le Petit Chateau supported, looked after us and completely put my mind at ease. They had thought of absolutely everything and more!! From check ins on the day and explaining every step of the day as it progressed to going above and beyond for our guests we really couldn't have asked for much more. Our wedding coordinators and master of ceremonies were the height of professionalism whilst making us feel so comfortable and valued. The day really wouldn't have been what it was if it weren't for them. I cannot rave about this venue enough. It's stunning setting is an absolute hidden gem that wowed our guests, it's food options, variety and quality was something that was so important to us and really delivered, the accommodations team were so helpful. I cannot recommend this venue enough - we travelled over 2 hours for this venue (and most of our guests further) but it was absolutely worth it! All of our guests agreed and could see why we had fallen in love with the place and it's people. The day truly couldn’t have gone better. The venue was absolutely beautiful, the perfect setting for our day, and everything ran so smoothly from start to finish. A huge shout-out to Peter, the master of ceremonies. He was incredible. He kept the whole day flowing effortlessly, made sure we were always looked after, and was right there whenever we needed anything… even holding the groom’s beer during the photos! We’re so grateful for how seamlessly everything came together. Yes it was 3hrs from our hometown but it was and repeated by our guests absolutely worth every mile . Nothing was too much trouble for anyone up to and on our wedding day. Living over 3 hours away we arranged a virtual tour of the venue and then followed this up with a trip to see the venue in person. We instantly fell in love with the chateau and got all the feels that this was 'the one.' All of the staff we dealt with from those that completed the tours, Beth (office) and Tia & Tim on the day were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble, correspondence was quick and seamless. We absolutely had THE BEST DAY ever! Food and drink were amazing and we were lucky enough to be able to get experience the gardens the night before which further added to our amazing wedding.
