Description
The Black Horse Inn is a 17th Century pub and restaurant built on the Pilgrims Way, situated on the North Downs in Kent. Designated an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' your wedding ceremony can be held in our flower covered gazebo with your guests seated under a beautiful wooden pergola in our private gardens.
We have two slightly different options when it comes to our food offering for your wedding breakfast. Smaller and more 'intimate' weddings for up to 34 day guests, will dine in our 'garden room'. You have the option for a traditional 'set menu', with a two or three course sit down meal, or you also have the opportunity to order from our seasonal A la Carte menu.
If you would like to invite more guests to your day once you've 'tied the knot' with the reception being held in the newly built 'Pilgrim Suite' - a large reception room adorned with wooden beams. It features its own serviced bar, a dance floor and private restrooms. The Pilgrim Suite looks out over our 3 acres of grounds, where our 27 beautiful en-suite bed and breakfast rooms are situated. The Black Horse Inn can cater for smaller, more intimate weddings for 10 guests or larger more lavish weddings for up to 110 guests. - TTony and Dawn31/07/2025Everything we wanted and moreEverything we wanted and moreFrom our first visit to 'the day' Mikayla was fabulous. Professional in every way and nothing was too much trouble. Menu was fantastic and food and drinks first class. We wanted an outside wedding and it happened despite dodgy weather. A good alternative was available so we knew all would go well. The service was warm and fun with fizz before going into our wedding meal. The room we dined in was a WOW. Beautifully decorated. Food and service was great and everyone was well looked after We had dogs (ring bearer and Master of Ceremonies), pregnant mum and wheelchair bound guests. Everyone had a lovely time. Mikayla was on hand and all run very smoothly. The whole experience was so special and in such a lovely setting. A lovely comfy room to stay in and a delicious breakfast completed what was the best start ever to our married ife.From our first visit to 'the day' Mikayla was fabulous. We also stayed a night with very clean and comfortable rooms. The service was excellent and the food was amazing .Any requests we had were dealt with quickly and with a smile The staff were brilliant and made us feel special.considering that the place was packed out . Food and service was first class and so much care taken to make our day special. We stayed the night in a very comfortable lodge, as did some of our guests, and enjoyed a lovely breakfast before heading home. We have had so many compliments from our guests. Breakfast was included and was lovely. There was a selection of bread/cereals/yoghurt and also a cooked breakfast option. Staff were very friendly. It was the first and only wedding venue we looked at and on our first visit we knew it was the one and booked our wedding day. Michelle, our wedding coordinator, couldn’t be more approachable, or make herself more available to her couples. She helped to facilitate the day we dreamt of ... from a small relaxed ceremony, speeches straight after the ceremony and arranging the venue to suit our small number of guests, without looking sparse, plus making arrangements for our dog to be a part of our big day! Her advice, her constant availability, and the flexibility of the venue was incredible! All of our guests have since commented on the quality of the food, both the sit down meal and the traditional buffet and the relaxed friendly nature of all the staff at the venue. I couldn’t rate The Black Horse Inn high enough.
