With endless views over the surrounding Cotswold countryside and an abundance of charming quirks, The Bear of Rodborough Hotel boasts a setting to remember for your big day.
We have a wonderful collection of rooms from which to host your wedding day at The Bear and 46 cosy bedrooms for your guests to stay the night. Combine all of this with great food, fizz and an enthusiastic team, and you’re sure to create the big day of your dreams.
The Terrace Room is a light and open space, with room for up to 70 guests. Its neutral colour scheme allows you to take the reins when it comes to accessorising.
As the name may suggest, the Terrace Room opens onto our garden terrace and marquee which will be reserved exclusively for your wedding party to enjoy reception drinks and canapes.
The Library Restaurant is our largest space, with room for up to 90 guests. With its striking bookend wallpaper, abundance of great reads and stylish tartan carpet; wedding accessories can be kept to a minimum.
With its sophisticated decor and beautiful arched windows, The Tower Room is a perfect space for smaller, intimate weddings. It is licensed for up to 26 people, but you can have much fewer if you prefer – we’re happy to provide witnesses.

From booking to meal tasting and the meetings in the run up. Amanda is calm, efficient, warm and welcoming and as a venue they allowed us to do all the things we wanted. Food was delicious and all the guests commented on that and how nice the staff were. We had both been married before and I had worked in a wedding venue previously some years ago so I feel we had a good comparison to go by. Rooms are lovely too and all our guests loved staying there! We held our wedding at the Bear in Sept this year and it was just lovely. From booking to meal tasting and the meetings in the run up. We would fully recommend having your wedding here, the venue is amazing if you want the relaxed, rustic, countryside vibe! We were lucky enough to have photographs with the neighbouring cows that made an appearance! The surroundings are beautiful and we couldn’t have wished for a better day. We got engaged on Rodborough Common, which meant it was perfect to go to The Bear for our wedding. All the staff were so helpful and welcoming to all the guests. Nothing was too much for them to handle, even when we had a few hiccups throughout the day. Amanda was the most perfect wedding planner who kept me calm throughout the whole day. She was easy to communicate with leading up to the wedding and always responded so quickly when I had a thousand questions. Thank you to everyone who worked the day/night of our wedding, and thank you for making it as special as it was. Even though the day was amazing, there were just a few things that some of the guests had mentioned that they were not happy with. The night porter who was on the night of the wedding was not very friendly, he was very abrupt towards guests. Also, the man who was in charge of breakfast the morning after the wedding acted like anything anyone asked him was a massive inconvenience and was not very pleasant towards guests. This was a real shame because everyone was on such a high after the wedding and his attitude made people feel uncomfortable. All in all, the day was perfect Thank you!The Bear of Rodborough was the most perfect venue for my husband and I to get married in. Our reception was so perfect, so smooth and I didn’t feel an ounce of worry or stress over anything as I knew that the staff and Amanda (wedding coordinator for the venue) had it in hand. The fact that there are different rooms for the arrival drinks, the wedding breakfast and then the party made the day so seamless. The food is/was DEVINE and the portions are more than generous. Again, I couldn’t recommend The Bear of Rodborough enough!!My husband and I had our reception at The Bear and we couldn’t recommend it enough! The venue itself was perfect for what we wanted, we had our ceremony and reception there and went out to the common for lots of photos. The food was fantastic and that was the thing our guests commented on most, how lovely it was and what good portion sizes. A lot of our guests stayed the night after the wedding and were all happy with the accommodation and said what a good breakfast was available the following morning. Amanda and all the staff at The Bear were absolutely fantastic on our wedding day, nothing was too much for them and Amanda guided us through the full day.
