On your special day we can give you exclusivity of the hotel from check-in (14.00) until check out the following morning. Once your last guests have arrived we will close the front door allowing you to enjoy the atmosphere of a private house party with the advantage of our friendly and professional team to tend to your every need.

The Bay Tree Hotel was the first venue we viewed and we fell in love with it from the start. The opportunity for exclusive use as well as the wonderful gardens and layout made it a clear winner for the wedding we wanted. From the moment we started planning with Laura, through all our consultations and the day itself it was such a relaxed experience. Every member of staff at the Bay Tree has been wonderful and so welcoming of us having our big day at the hotel. With so many of our guests being from overseas as well as not from the Cotswolds, we wanted a beautiful spring wedding and had just that. We would especially like to thank Laura who guided us through the planning of the day as well as the on the day wedding coordination. It was lovely working with her and the wider team who made the day so wonderful. We were lucky enough to be able to stay in the hotel the night before our wedding and the customer service from then until our departure was impeccable. Nothing was too much trouble from storing boxes of decorations, chocolates in the cellar so they wouldn’t melt and organising an early room service breakfast for me on the morning so I could completely relax took all the stress away. Overall we and our families and friends had the most wonderful stay at the hotel and the wedding was unforgettable. Our guests have all commented on how seamless everything was and how relaxed and comfortable they all felt. The day was really geared around us and celebrating with our loved ones and we couldn’t thank the Bay Tree enough for this. As mother of the bride, I would not hesitate in recommending The Bay Tree for a wedding, particularly in winter, with its flagstone floors, roaring fires and Christmas decorations. The wedding package they offer with exclusive use of all their bedrooms is extremely competitive and makes you feel as if you are hosting a private, intimate house party. If you are looking for an historic, attractive and authentic venue in the heart of the Cotswolds, with excellent customer service, then The Bay Tree is ideal. Laura, the Wedding Coordinator is superb and you can add as many personal touches to your Reception as you wish. All the staff are totally delightful; friendly, efficient and always willing to go the extra mile, from Reception, to the waiting and bar staff, who end up feeling like extended family. The food, for the price, was excellent and my daughter married at nearby Shorthampton Church, just 6 miles away. We cannot thank The Bay Tree Hotel and their Wedding & Events coordinator Laura enough for making our wedding day so incredibly special. From the very first meeting, their enthusiasm and communication was great. Laura kept us updated throughout the entire planning process, answering all our questions and guiding us through every decision with patience and professionalism. We felt so special on our day, the staff were so attentive to myself and my toddler at breakfast before the ceremony and all throughout our stay and our visits to them beforehand. Laura's attention to detail was amazing. She had so many thoughtful touches that made the day even more memorable - from a glass of Prosecco she had ready for us after the ceremony through to picking out such fun Halloween-inspired sweets for our sweet table that our guests loved. The venue is beautiful, we were lucky with sunshine in late October but there would be plenty of photo opportunities even if we couldn't make it outside. The day ran seamlessly, guests were guided where they needed to be and the hotel atmosphere was exactly what we had wanted for our day. What really stood out to us was how fantastic the hotel and whole team were to work with - everyone we spoke to was helpful and kind. Laura was always approachable, calm, and genuinely happy to do anything she could to make our day perfect. Whether it was last-minute requests or adjustments, Laura handled everything with a smile. We recently celebrated our wedding at the Baytree Hotel and it was a magical experience. As my hometown, Burford has always been a very special place and I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else. The Baytree made all of my dreams a reality. The team ensured from the very start of our planning that every detail was catered for. The venue is absolutely stunning and all the staff were incredibly attentive, ensuring our day ran smoothly from start to finish. We got married on the 22/06/24 and all our guests are still saying how much of a lovely venue it is and how good the food was everyone had so much fun we really wish we could do it all over again. If you are thinking of viewing this wedding venue you will honestly fall in love, we would highly recommend anyone wanting to get married to choose here! We booked our wedding at the Bay Tree as the vibe we wanted was a big party in a country pub, and that's exactly what the venue delivered! It's a beautiful place in a stunning location with accommodation on-site and nearby which made everything really easy for our guests. Our ceremony was at the Catholic Church at the top of the hill which was only a 5 minute walk away so it was ideal. Our day couldn't have gone smoother, and that's all down to the fantastic team at the Bay Tree who were so on top of everything. Particular thanks to Becky who knew what we needed before we even had to ask. She was so reassuring and allowed us to enjoy our day without any worries.
