The Main Barn is beautifully intimate, ideal for exchanging your vows. Built in 1872, it retains many of its original features, including oak beams, a vaulted ceiling, and a striking traditional stone structure, all of which lend a timeless charm to the setting - plus views over the breathtaking countryside. The barn's high ceilings and focal point arch create a stunning backdrop for ceremonies, blending classic elegance with modern touches.
The Byre, once a cowshed, has been beautifully transformed into a stunning barn space with a touch of industrial charm. Above the Original Cotswold stone sits our reclaimed oak ceiling, imported from Italy, which adds warmth and elegance, industrial ironwork which is complemented by three vintage French chandeliers. The room’s focal point is a striking fireplace, creating a cosy and inviting atmosphere. With an abundance of natural light, The Byre offers versatility for hosting your wedding ceremony and dining. Whether you choose round or rustic long tables, this space effortlessly blends rustic charm with modern sophistication.
The venue is licensed to hold civil ceremonies indoors, in the Main Barn or The Byre, and outdoors in Ferne Wood, The Courtyard or the Rose Garden. For the ceremonies our Main Barn can host up to 90 seated guests and The Byre up to 130 seated guests, with capacity up to 175 for the evening reception.
Gorgeous Granary cottage is available to stay in on the night of your wedding. The cottage interior matches the classic yet contemporary style of the barn with flagstone floors, wood burning stove, two bedrooms with luxurious double beds, and a wet room stocked with The White Company products.
The Hayloft wedding preparation room, designed in farmhouse-luxe style is the perfect place to get ready on the morning of your wedding from 8.30am. Airy and comfortable, with designer furniture and decor, full length mirrors, phone chargers and private en suite bathroom, it’s a lovely place to relax and enjoy time with those closest to you while the anticipation builds
Food is at the heart of every wedding, and we are passionate about delicious food that’s prepared using locally sourced and exceptional quality produce. We have six wonderful approved caterers to choose from, each specialising in their own unique field, to ensure you have exactly the type of food you wish to have on your day. For the evening, choose from one of our fabulous tried and tested food trucks or pop ups. Alternatively your chosen daytime caterer may be able to provide this. They offer a complete range from wood fired pizzas to BBQ, paella to street food, plus many other late night snacks to keep your guests going all night long. You are most welcome to bring in your own evening caterers, just enquire with us in advance.
We are proud to offer an outstanding selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and packages. From sparkling wines, to cocktails, presse, spirits, local beers (including Hawkstone), plus our local gins Cotswolds and TOAD, our fully stocked bar will perfectly compliment your day. Outside the barn you will find a lovely lawn area (hello, lawn games!), landscaped courtyard with a beautiful outside bar and fire pit. Our Rose Garden, woodlands, driveway and grounds make for spectacular photo opportunities.
Vicky and Chris' wedding was an absolute cracker! Vicky described herself as "colour phobic and impossible to please". But contrary to her bold statement, we set to work on making the day exactly what she wanted. The barn looked incredible with lots of green foliage, black chalkboard notes and festoon lighting inside and out. Oversized white balloons matched the festoon bulbs, and created space on the tables for a sharing-platter-style three course meal. The weather played nice, so after the ceremony, all guests enjoyed drinks in the courtyard while Chris and Vicky had some amazing photos taken in the Rose Garden and Ferne Wood. As the sun set, the fire pit was lit for toasting marshmallows and the street food vans turned up. And this is when the bucking bronco came to full use! Eventually the great DJ got people back in the barn for a dance off, followed by a full dance floor until the very end of the night.
Don't book your civil ceremony too early in the day. Trying to keep your guests entertained for 13 hours, and then expect them to party till the very end, can be really hard! (2pm is a perfect time for a civil ceremony)
Personalised menus, in a unique font created for that particular wedding, with thank-yous and talking points covered in one go.
Flexible. Fun. Informal. Modern. Bespoke.
Less traditional: the driveway - it's stunning! More traditional: the rose garden.
We've had F1 drivers, Channel 4 TV personality, BBC TV Personality, GBBO winner and Morgan Freeman attend events at the venue.
The most classic of canapés: smoked salmon blini (please don't call us boring!)
Wood fired pizza, straight from the oven.
An on-site, authentic forest rally course. We can book passenger rides for your guests during the drinks reception! (Needless to say perhaps, but unless specifically requested, the rally cars will not be running on your wedding day!)
We care. We truly care about you, your day, and your plans. Yes, our barn is gorgeous, and yes, our outdoor spaces are amazing, but it's our dedication to your day that sets us apart. We love planning your wedding with you!
