Located in South Buckinghamshire, Stowe House can be exclusively yours for your special day. The State Rooms range from intimate spaces for 40, to larger spaces for up to 180 guests. Evening Receptions can be held for up to 200 guests, and for those looking for a larger event, our South Lawn is ideal for the perfect marquee wedding. As events are only permitted to take place during school holidays, your event would be one of only a unique few that take place onsite each year, making Stowe perfect for those looking for a distinctive celebration location. We have a dedicated team ready to help you design your perfect day - get in touch now!

Choice of preferred caterers
The venue hire price includes exclusive use of the Main House and three elegant state rooms for your ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception. We also have our South Portico on the South side of the house to use for your confetti throw, drinks reception, group photos and live music. We have round and long tables for your wedding breakfast however we recommend you upgrade the chairs to a wedding chiavari chair. You will have an event manager to help the day run smoothly and to coordinate your wedding.
The hire includes the use of our kitchens and the corkage fee for you to bring your own soft drink, beers and sparkling wines for the drinks reception and wedding breakfast. You will need to choose a catering company from our approved suppliers, we have plenty to choose from that cater a variety of cuisines.
We have a list of trusted suppliers from florists, photographers, entertainment and more to help you create the wedding of your dreams. We can also recommend local accommodation and hotels in Buckinghamshire for your guests and taxi companies.
Stowe House is a dry hire venue only. Reduced hire prices can be offered for ceremony only bookings and weekdays.
For larger events, marquees can be accommodated on our South Lawn where a ground hire fee will be charged, marquees will need to be hired in from an approved marquee supplier for an additional fee.

We immediately fell in love with the grandeur of the venue, every room in the house is spectacular in its own right. The team at Stowe House were excellent throughout our wedding journey. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
One of our favourites was this Summer, the couple introduced a lot of unique touches to the day. Post dinner they served espresso martinis on the South Portico overlooking the National Trust grounds once they were closed, they had a DJ set up so guests could see the sun setting whilst enjoying the music and the cocktails.
